GOLF LINKS ROAD ATTEMPTED MURDER HANDGUN SHOOTING
THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~ May 12, 2020 (LSN) Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers have arrested 1 more suspects for the double leg shooting /attempted murder on Golf Links Road last week. And 2 women face guns and drug charges.
ALL SUSPECTS DID NOT POSSESS A FIREARM LICENSE.
JACOB WATTIE HAS 2 DIFFERENT WEAPONS PROHIBITION ORDERS
Three suspects were arrested last evening, Monday May 11,2020 in the 700 block of Catherine Street and spent the night in the luxurious and secure jail cells at the Police Station on Balmoral.
Police seized a quantity of cocaine & crack as well as a loaded handgun and cash.
They all appeared by video before Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Zelda Kitchekeesic this morning.
Federal Crown Ron Poirier is opposed to the release of all these individuals. He is intent on keeping our city safe.
-29 year old NATALIE MARIE SALANTINO of Thunder Bay is facing drugs and firearms charges
-24 year old JACOB DANIEL WATTIE (formerly of Ottawa) of Thunder Bay is facing drugs, firearms and attempted murder charges. WATTIE has a lengthy criminal history in Thunder Bay & Ottawa.
-A 29 year old MOLLY O’BRIEN of Peterborough is facing drugs and firearms charges.
Co-accused TERRY PELTO remains in custody.
They were all ordered not to contact each other or the shooting victim.
ALL ARE BEING DETAINED IN CUSTODY. Their next court date is Thursday, May 15, 2020.
