THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~ June 29, 2020 (LSN) MAN ARRESTED FOR FORCIBLE ENTRY INTO THUNDER BAY PUBLIC HOUSING IS RELEASED TO GO LIVE WITH HIS COUSIN IN THUNDER BAY PUBLIC HOUSING.
Last night, Saturday, June 27, 2020, the hardworking Officers with Thunder Bay Police arrested 37 year old DWAYNE DUSTIN OOMBASH.
On Friday, June 26, 2020 OOMBASH is alleged to have committed a forcible entry while on probation into a Thunder Bay public housing unit in the 100 block of Picton Avenue.
OOMBASH spent the night in a jail cell at the Thunder Bay Police Station.
He appeared by video in Thunder Bay Bail Court today before His Worship, Justice of the Peace Marcel Donio.
OOMBASH is facing criminal charges of:
- -forcible entry
- -breach of probation by coming into contact with a victim of his.
Provincial Crown Attorney Stella Vallelunga agrees to release OOMBASH as long as he has a residence.
Duty Counsel Joy Wakefield advises Her Worship that OOMBASH will go live with his cousin Olivia at a unit in 66G Limbrick Street.
His Worship Donio has concerns about releasing him to stay in Thunder Bay Public Housing for which he is not listed as a resident.
But Duty Counsel Joy Wakefield tells the court that OOMBASH has permission to stay there, but she did not confirm with officials at Thunder Bay Public Housing.
His Worship reluctantly orders OOMBASH released from custody with conditions based on the information from Wakefield.
His next court appearance is September 4, 2020.
OOMBASH is an unemployed father who does not have custody.
