TOP ONTARIO SOCCER STAR BUSTED

MORE THAN 2 KILOGRAMS OF COCAINE AND $50 000 SEIZED

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~  July 9, 2020 (LSN)  Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers made a big drug bust on Tuesday July 7,2020 arresting a top Ontario soccer star and a local.  Officers arrested both the man and woman at a home in the 100 block of Bruce Street after 1 pm.

A search of a vehicle connected to the investigation led to the seizure of cocaine.

Hardworking Thunder Bay Police later executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 100 block of Bruce Street on Wednesday, July 8 2020 near 4am.

ABRAHAM MAMADEE KAMARA Drug Dealer  Lake Superior NewsMore cocaine and $50,000 cash was seized.
The total estimated potential street value of the cocaine seized totals more than $250,000.

A Liberian born 26 year old ABRAHAM MAMADEE KAMARA was arrested and charged with:
-Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
-Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
-Breach of Probation

 

A 21 year old SHANYA MARLA HILLKA CORDONI of Thunder Bay, is charged with:
-Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
-Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

The Federal Crown Attorney would not consent to their release in Bail Court.

KAMARA was transported to the Thunder Bay Jail and CORDONI was sent to the Correctional Center.

KAMARA was born in Ganta, Liberia and moved to Ottawa, Ontario when he was 12 years old. KAMARA attended College and was an accomplished soccer player having won the 2013 Soccer Player of the Year award.

KAMARA is a strong Liberal supporter which would explain his career choice as a drug dealer.

CORDONI is a local Thunder Bay who enjoys BBC.

Thunder Bay maintained its title as the murder capital of Canada in 2018,  For the third consecutive year - and the fourth time in the last five years

 It has been announced again that Thunder Bay is the Murder Capital of Canada for 2018 in Canada for CMAs with populations between 100,000 to less than 500,000 people

It’s made Thunder Bay the highest per capita opioid death rate in Ontario.

The 44 deaths were a 40 per cent increase from 2017, a year in which Thunder Bay also held the highest provincial rate.

Between July 2017 and June 2018, nearly 3,900 naloxone kits were handed out by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and local pharmacies,
