PROLIFIC LONGLAC BURGLAR TO LIVE JOHN HOWARD SOCIETY

ON $250 NO DEPOSIT BAIL TO LIVE IN THUNDER BAY

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~~  July 7, 2021  (LSN)  A 29 year old KATHLEEN STEPHENSON appeared by video today, Wednesday July 7,2021 from the Thunder Bay Correctional Center in Courtroom 105 before His Worship, Justice of the Peace Bruce Leaman. 

STEPHENSON just had her birthday 2 days ago and His Worship wished her a Happy Belated Birthday

STEPHENSON has numerous break & enter charges from Longlac. She’s criminally charged with breaking into several homes on Riverview Street, Hillcrest Road, York Street. She also has charges of stealing from the Longlac Freshmart on Hamel Avenue.

STEPHENSON was released on $250 no deposit bail to live at the John Howard Society on Syndicate Avenue in Thunder Bay.

She was ordered not to contact any victims or witnesses.

Her next court appearance is in August.

Local taxpayer subsidized media are refusing to report this.

LONGLAC WEED WACKER JACKER BUSTED

Hardworking Greenstone OPP Officers made an arrest yesterday, Monday June 28,2021 in a Break & Enter incident.

OPP Officers were initially called on June 21,2021 regarding a break & enter to a garage and camper in the 100 block of Riverview Street in Longlac, Ontario. A gas powered weed wacker was stolen during this break & enter.

As a result of the OPP investigation, a 28 year old KATHLEEN STEPHENSON was arrested & criminally charged with:

  • -break, enter & theft
  • -breach of release order

STEPHENSON has a history of theft in Longlac (see link below) and has outstanding criminal charges.

STEPHENSON spent the night in custody at Greenstone OPP detachment and appeared by audio in Thunder Bay Bail Court this morning, Tuesday June 29,2021 before His Worship, Justice of the Peace Bruce Leaman.

Provincial Crown Attorney Piera Pasloski expressed concern about the escalating criminal behaviour by STEPHENSON and would not consent to her release.

She is being transported to the Thunder Bay Correctional Center and has another court appearance tomorrow.

Thunder Bay maintained its title as the murder capital of Canada in 2018,  For the third consecutive year - and the fourth time in the last five years

 It has been announced again that Thunder Bay is the Murder Capital of Canada for 2018 in Canada for CMAs with populations between 100,000 to less than 500,000 people

Thunder Bay had the highest rate in that category with 6.38 homicides per 100,000.

It’s made Thunder Bay the highest per capita opioid death rate in Ontario.

The 44 deaths were a 40 per cent increase from 2017, a year in which Thunder Bay also held the highest provincial rate.

Between July 2017 and June 2018, nearly 3,900 naloxone kits were handed out by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and local pharmacies, 

 

 

Thunder Bay is that the homicide rate for 2017 is down from 2016 when it stood at 6.62 per 100,000
