MURDER CHARGE EXPECTED IN FORT HOPE BASEBALL BAT ATTACK

BEAUTIFUL YOUNG MOTHER OF THREE CHILDREN SUCCUMBED TO INJURIES

FORT HOPE, ONTARIO  ~~~  July 12, 2020 (LSN)  Earlier this afternoon Inside Edition reported the violent baseball attack in Fort Hope on July 8, 2020 (see story below) Inside Edition sources in Fort Hope are stating that the female victim of this horrific attack has succumbed to her injuries in hospital.

The 15-year-old youth,  was flown to Thunder Bay this afternoon and is being held in a secure custody youth facility here.

t is expected that Police will formally charge 15-year-old male, with second-degree murder in the death of Arlene.
The youth will be arraigned by audio in a Thunder Bay Courtroom before a Justice of the Peace.

The male victim has several broken bones, most notably both legs.

Inside Edition expresses their most sincere condolences to the family and friends of the victim ARLENE.

Our hearts are filled with sorrow for the loss that her 3 beautiful young children are experiencing right now.

Hardworking NAPS Officers at the Fort Hope 64 Indian Reserve were busy last night, Saturday July 11,2020 arresting a 15 year old youth who was wanted for a vicious baseball bat beating on July 8, 2020.

A male and female in Fort Hope were violently attacked with a baseball bat receiving serious injuries

Hardworking NAPS officers investigated and arrested a 15 year old A.M. and held him overnight in a jail cell at the NAPS Detachment

A 15 year old  is facing criminal charges of

  • -aggravated assault X 2

The youth appeared by audio in Thunder Bay Bail Court today, Sunday, July 12, 2020 before Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Zelda Kitchekeesic.

Provincial Crown Attorney Heather Bracken informs the court that even though he is a youth, she is not consenting to his release.

The criminal charges may be upgraded depending on whether the victims survive this attack. An update on their medical status should be available tomorrow.

The youth is being flown to a secure custody facility in Thunder Bay this afternoon and will have another court appearance tomorrow.

Thunder Bay maintained its title as the murder capital of Canada in 2018,  For the third consecutive year - and the fourth time in the last five years

 It has been announced again that Thunder Bay is the Murder Capital of Canada for 2018 in Canada for CMAs with populations between 100,000 to less than 500,000 people

Thunder Bay had the highest rate in that category with 6.38 homicides per 100,000.

It’s made Thunder Bay the highest per capita opioid death rate in Ontario.

The 44 deaths were a 40 per cent increase from 2017, a year in which Thunder Bay also held the highest provincial rate.

Between July 2017 and June 2018, nearly 3,900 naloxone kits were handed out by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and local pharmacies, 

 

 

Thunder Bay is that the homicide rate for 2017 is down from 2016 when it stood at 6.62 per 100,000
