MCKENZIE STREET AXE & GUN ATTACK ON FENTANYL & CRACK DEALER

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO   ~~~~~~~  July 13, 2021  (LSN)  A motorist was driving down the 400 block of McKenzie Street yesterday, Monday July 12,2021 at 7am. The motorist witnessed one male violently kicking another male who was laying on the ground bleeding. The concerned motorist phoned hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers who arrived quickly to find an injured male bleeding. The suspects had fled the scene of the attack

Officers were able to locate suspects in a basement at 137 Finlayson Street with the help of the victim. There were numerous people in the basement. TBPS Officers spoke to a female, 17 year old A.K. who allegedly admitted that she and her boyfriend, 18 year old ANTONIE CURTIS BOUCHARD had taken an axe and metal bar to assault the male. The female youth allegedly admitted striking the victim in the chest with an axe while BOUCHARD struck him with a metal bar and kicking

Their alleged reason for attacking WABASON was that he had allegedly tried to rob BOUCHARD 2 weeks prior.

The 17 year old A.K. was arrested and criminally charged with:

-assault with a weapon (axe)

An 18 year old ANTOINE BOUCHARD was arrested and criminally charged with:

  • -unlawful confinement of DYLAN WABASON
  • -assault with weapon (pellet gun)
  • -assault with weapon (metal bar)
  • -assault
  • -theft of shoes and gold chain

An 18 year old DYLAN LEO WABASON was arrested and criminally charged with:

All appeared by phone from Balmoral Police Station in Thunder Bay Bail Court today, Tuesday July 13,2021 before Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Denette Ellard.

Provincial Crown Attorney Danielle Wood consented to the release of the female youth. Her grandfather from Armstrong is on his way to Thunder Bay to pick her up. She must reside in Armstrong and has a future court date. She is ordered not to contact ANTOINE BOUCHARD or the victim DYLAN WABASON, which causes the young female to cry. She is distraught about not being able to contact her boyfriend. But she reluctantly agrees in order to be released.

ANTOINE BOUCHARD could be released with supervision, but he will remain in custody at the Thunder Bay Jail until he gets a solid bail plan in place

DYLAN WABASON also has outstanding criminal charges of assault from June 14,2021. He is being transported to the Thunder Bay Jail.

As per usual practice, the Director of Communications at TBPS isn’t telling the public about violent drug related offences in our city anymore.

Paying the former ad salesman from TBLAZYWATCH in excess of 141 000 taxpayer dollars annually to Direct Communications at TBPS has been a complete disaster.
