MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO HAMMER ATTACK

ON SOCIAL HOUSING SPENCE COURT SECURITY GUARD

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~~~~~  July 8, 2021  (LSN)    A 47 year old SHANE FRANKLIN KRUCHAK appeared by video in Courtroom 102 on Tuesday July 5,2021 to plead guilty to several criminal charges from violent incidents.

His Honour, Justice Peter Bishop was presiding and there is a joint submission before His Honour from the Crown & Defence

ADMITTED FACTS

An intoxicated KRUCHAK attended a troubled Thunder Bay Housing apartment building located at 230 Amelia Street West on March 17,2021 at 11 pm. He was asked to leave the building by a TBDHU security guard.

KRUCHAK returned about 2 am with a hammer. He struck a mail box, then asked the security guard if he has a kneecap before striking him in the leg with the hammer.

Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers arrived to arrest KRUCHAK. He was later released on bail April 6,2021.

On April 22,2021 KRUCHAK attended a relative’s home on Alpine Place where he was unwanted. KRUCHAK got a large metal pizza paddle and chased the homeowner as well as damaging a windshield on a 2007 Hyundai and a back door window. KRUCHAK was arrested and charged. He was remanded into custody at the Thunder Bay Jail.

Defence Attorney Rob Habjan has negotiated a very good deal for KRUCHAK of 150 days (5 months) custody

KRUCHAK’S criminal record starts in 2003. He has a variety of convictions: impaired driving, weapons, threats etc.

KRUCHAK has spent a total of 96 actual days in jail which will be enhanced to 144 days. KRUCHAK has 6 days remaining but will be statutorily released on Saturday July 10,2021.

KRUCHAK also has outstanding restitution from a previous probation order of $1343.43

As part of his probation, he must pay that restitution, plus $310 restitution to his relative.

He’s also ordered not to have contact with victims.

As per usual practice, the Director Of Communications at TBPS, along with his taxpayer subsidized media buddies at TBLAZYWATCH & CBC have been hiding these violent crimes from the public. They simply don’t care.

WESTFORT PIZZA PADDLE ATTACK

THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS AT TBPS ISN’T TELLING THE PUBLIC AGAIN

Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers responded to a 911 call last evening, Thursday April 22,2021 in Westfort area just before 9pm.

It’s alleged that 46 year old SHANE FRANKLIN KRUCHAK went to a home at the 1100 block of Alpine Place and demanded entry. The homeowner did not want KRUCHAK is his home. It’s further alleged that KRUCHAK had a large metal pizza paddle that he used to smash the glass sliding door and chase the homeowner down the street. He also damaged the vehicle windshield of the homeowner in the process.

Hardworking TBPS Officers arrived quickly to arrest KRUCHAK. He spent the night in a jail cell at Balmoral Police Station and appeared by video in Bail Court this morning, Friday April 23,2021 before His Worship, Justice Of The Peace Bruce Leaman.

A 46 year old SHANE FRANKLIN KRUCHAK was criminally charged with:

  • -mischief X 2 (sliding glass door and car windshield)
  • -break and enter with intent
  • -assault with a weapon (metal pizza paddle)
  • -breach of release order (not have weapons)

KRUCHAK also has an outstanding assault with weapon (hammer) charge from March 17,2021.

Provincial Crown Attorney Natasha Jerome is not consenting to the release of KRUCHAK. He is being transported to the Thunder Bay Jail and has another court appearance on his 47th birthday, this Monday.

As per usual practice, the Director Of Communications at TBPS & his local taxpayer subsidized media buddies at TBLAZYWATCH & CBC will not be notifying the public about any of this. They collect taxpayer dollars to do nothing.

Thunder Bay maintained its title as the murder capital of Canada in 2018,  For the third consecutive year - and the fourth time in the last five years

 It has been announced again that Thunder Bay is the Murder Capital of Canada for 2018 in Canada for CMAs with populations between 100,000 to less than 500,000 people

Between July 2017 and June 2018, nearly 3,900 naloxone kits were handed out by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and local pharmacies,
