The victim wants the public to be aware because the Director of Communications at TBPS will not tell the public about this. He was dismayed to learn how lazy and useless the Director of Communications is. The young man out to us and one of our contributors got the court documents today.

THE VICTIM WANTS THE PUBLIC TO KNOW ABOUT THIS SEX OFFENDER

The young male victim thought that there would be a media release about this incident. He even reached out to the Director of Communications at TBPS to ask him to notify the public. The victim learned very quickly how lazy the Director is about telling the public about Sex Offenders. Hiring a former ad salesman from TBLAZYWATCH to do Communications at TBPS has been a complete disaster for years

A 43-year-old Ignace man has pleaded guilty to 9 counts of sexual assault and other sex-related charges.

Steve Colby was sentenced in Kenora Court this week for charges that stem from a number of incidents in Ignace from 2002 to 2004.

Colby was slapped with a 9-month conditional jail sentence, a curfew and he must also seek counseling.

Colby can’t have unsupervised contact with youth under the age of 14, he must avoid contact with the victims and he can’t own a firearm for 10-years.

He must provide a DNA sample and his name will be in the national sex registry for 20-years.

A family member of one of the victims told CKDR she’s disappointed Colby didn’t receive a harsher sentence, noting too many young people were hurt by his sexual offences.
