Female Charged with Theft

19-year-old Rune Laudadio for theft under $5,000.

SAULT STE. MARIE, ONTARIO  February 18, 2020  (LSN) On February 17, 2020 officers with Patrol Services arrested 19-year-old Rune Laudadio for theft under $5,000.

On January 23, 2020 police received a complaint of a vehicle being entered where ID as well as a bank card were stolen. Later that day the accused attended a business in the 200 block of Northern Avenue East and made a purchase of $89 with the stolen bank card.

It is further alleged on February 5, 2020 the accused attended a business in the 200 block of Wellington Street West and stole an item worth approximately $50.

She was located on February 17, 2020 and arrested. She is charged with two counts of theft under $5,000, one count of possession of stolen property, one count of using a stolen bank card and two counts of breach of probation. She is scheduled to appear in court on March 30, 2020.

It’s made Thunder Bay the highest per capita opioid death rate in Ontario.

The 44 deaths were a 40 per cent increase from 2017, a year in which Thunder Bay also held the highest provincial rate.

Between July 2017 and June 2018, nearly 3,900 naloxone kits were handed out by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and local pharmacies, 



Thunder Bay is that the homicide rate for 2017 is down from 2016 when it stood at 6.62 per 100,000

Greater Sudbury's murder rate is  remains one of the lowest in Canada. murder rate was 0.61 per 100,000 people
