apartment building at 38 Johnson Avenue

THUNDER BAY, ONTAIRO  ~~~~~~~  July 29, 2021  (LSNews)   Over the years now, Inside Edition readers have learned about hundreds and hundreds of crimes committed in our city that the Director of Communications at TBPS won’t tell the public about. He refuses to highlight the good job done by hardworking front line Thunder Bay Police Officers.

And today is no different.

Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers responded early this morning, Thursday July 29,2021 at 1:31 am to a break & enter at a apartment building at 38 Johnson Avenue.

The perpetrator broke 2 doors to gain entry and damaged a mirror and computer in the apartment, then left. A resident of the building recognized the suspect and phoned police.

While investigating this crime scene, a call came in a few blocks away at the Super 8 hotel at 439 Memorial Avenue regarding a man creating a loud disturbance.

TBPS Officers responded quickly to find their break & enter suspect and he was arrested.

A 21 year old NATHAN ROBERT DUTIL was arrested & criminally charged with:

  • -break & enter
  • -mischief under $5000

DUTIL has several outstanding criminal charges including:

  • -a January 27,2020 break & enter at a home in the 200 block of Ross Street where he was found laying naked on the homeowners couch masturbating wildly
  • -a May 5,2020 theft from the LCBO that was captured on video surveillance
  • -a July 3,2020 mischief incident where he was caught on video damaging a door at Habitat for Humanity

The Director of Communications at TBPS never told the public any of this.

DUTIL spent the rest of the morning at Balmoral Police Station where he was promptly released by Bail Court Justice of the Peace Jennifer Neil on conditions:

  • -stay away from all locations of offences
  • -reside at Salvation Army

His next court appearance is August 10,2021

Local taxpayer subsidized media  are also refusing to notify the public about any of these crimes
