BARBADIAN REFUGEE FENTANYL DEALER TO BE RELEASED ON $2000 CASH DEPOSIT BAIL

BARBADIAN REFUGEE FENTANYL DEALER TO BE RELEASED ON $2000 CASH DEPOSIT BAIL

Spence Court Amelia Street TBay Social Housing

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~~  June 27, 2021  (LSN)  A black male, 20 year old DASEAN SCOTT appeared by video on Friday June 25,2021 from the Thunder Bay Jail in Bail Court before Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Denette Ellard for a bail hearing.

Federal Crown Attorney Justin McConnell and Defence Attorney Richard Garrett are both present for this contested hearing.

t’s alleged that SCOTT and 2 others took over an indigenous woman’s apartment on the third floor of 230 Amelia Street West (Thunder Bay Housing). It’s a further alleged that the tenant had to message her Beendigen support worker for help. The worker contacted police. Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers arrived and arrested DASEAN SCOTT & 2 others.

TBPS Officers seized over 15 grams of fentanyl, 5 grams of crack cocaine, along with $4010 in cash.

Despite the arrest, the public was never notified by the Director of Communications at TBPS or his local taxpayer subsidized media buddies at TBLAZYWATCH & CBC

SCOTT initially told the court he would be killed in the Thunder Bay Jail. But, he managed to survive thus far.

Federal Crown McConnell has concerns about the release of DASEAN SCOTT. He has outstanding charges of sexual assault & theft of motor vehicle in Toronto. The court learns that DASEAN SCOTT is in Canada as a refugee from the Caribbean island of Barbados.

SCOTT’S mother Sherri Ann Holder tells the court that she is willing to be his surety. She lives in an 8th floor apartment at the 3900 block of Kingston Road in Scarborough. She is also a Barbadian refugee and she’s collecting $3000 monthly on ODSP. She wants her son to come home. They have not received their citizenship papers yet.

Defence lawyer Richard Garrett has an uphill battle at this Bail Hearing on all three grounds; primary, secondary & tertiary.

But, Richard Garrett has come very well prepared for this hearing with a thorough plan that addresses all three grounds and has all relevant case law.

He succeeds in convincing Justice of the Peace Denette Ellard to release SCOTT on a $2000 cash deposit bail with house arrest conditions at his mother’s apartment in Scarborough. He must not come to Thunder Bay except for court purposes. He must also not apply for any travel documents.

Justice of the Peace Ellard reminds SCOTT to follow the rules of this release “because it didn’t work out so well last time”

The $2000 cash deposit will be made on Monday June 28,2021 and SCOTT will be released.

Inside Edition was not aware that conditions in Barbados were so bad that Canada was accepting refugees from there.

SCOTT faces the possibility of being deported if convicted.

His next court appearance is in August

Another big coverup by local taxpayer subsidized media and the Director of Communications at TBPS.
