THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~~ November 14, 2020 (LSN) Inside Edition has learned that the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General has approved the Valhalla Inn on Arthur Street for certain court proceedings.
In-person court proceedings came grinding to a halt after a 7th floor electrical fire at the Brodie Street Courthouse on October 3, 2020.
Crews have worked daily to make the repairs at Brodie Street. However, the closure has caused chaos and delays to the local delivery of justice.
A location at the Courthouse Hotel on Camelot Street was used for the recent Brayden Bushby manslaughter trial.
But, Inside Edition has verified that a trial and preliminary hearing will begin at the Valhalla Inn effective Monday November 16,2020.
A couple Scarborough drug dealers who were arrested with a large quantity of fentanyl and cocaine by Marathon OPP are beginning a 2 day trial on Monday.

Local Thunder Bay criminal TYLER FREUND who is incarcerated at the Central North Correctional Center in Penetanguishene also has a preliminary hearing for a variety of crimes including a violent group assault at the Thunder Bay Jail that the Director of Communications at TBPS never told the public about.
Inside Edition has learned that FREUND prefers serving jail time in Penetanguishene and did not want to be transported to Thunder Bay for this preliminary hearing.
