CONVICTED SEX OFFENDER MICHAEL BEWCYCK ON THE STREETS OF THUNDER BAY

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~~  May 20, 2021  (LSN)   As you may recall, Inside Edition, along with the Real Concerned Citizens of Thunder Bay broke the story of MICHAEL BEWCYCK in August 2018. We gathered all the court documents and informed the public.

BEWCYCK was sentenced on March 21,2019. (see story below).

A now 73 year old MICHAEL BEWCYCK has been spotted frequently on the streets of Thunder Bay, particularly in Port Arthur in the Cumberland/Red River Road area.

He is on the Sex Offender Registry for LIFE.

We know that the Director of Communications at TBPS and his local taxpayer subsidized media buddies at TBLAZYWATCH & CBC don’t care about children in our community.

Please take the time to share and warn others.

REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER MICHAEL DANIAL BEWCYK SENTENCED TO ANOTHER 288 DAYS IN JAIL.

WILL BE DESIGNATED A REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER FOR LIFE.

THE STORY THAT LOCAL TAXPAYER SUBSIDIZED MEDIA WON’T REPORT

A 70 year old Michael Bewcyk appeared in courtroom 102 this morning, March 21,2019 before His Honour Justice Joseph Wilson.

Bewcyk is a short bespectacled man approximately 5'5" and is clean shaven. He's wearing a green/black windbreaker type of jacket and light blue shirt. Also sporting shiny silver handcuffs in the prisoner's box being watched carefully by TBPS Special Constables. He requires the use of a courtroom hearing aid.

Crown Attorney Gordon Fillmore is present for the prosecution with the always capable Derrick Silvestro seated beside him. Defence Attorney George Joseph is here to represent BEWCYCK.

BEWCYCK is pleading guilty to several sex offender charges and there is a joint disposition for sentencing.

CHILD ABDUCTION CHARGE IS WITHDRAWN

ADMITTED FACTS.

MICHAEL DANIAL BEWCYCK is a Registered Sex Offender.

On August 25,2018 BEWCYCK attended a Back to School Barbecue at the Transformation Church on Pruden Street. There were approximately 75 children in attendance. BEWCYCK is in violation of his prohibition order to not be around children. A 9 year old girl is there as well.

On August 26,2018 BEWCYCK is travelling northbound on May Street on his e-bike. He pulls over to talk to some 2 young girls. He offers a ride to the 9 year old who was at barbecue the day before. Police see girl on bike with no helmet. The mother is not aware of her daughter on the e-bike. BEWCYCK is in violation of his prohibition order again.

Also in summer of 2018, BEWCYCK

is observed at the Art Widnall Swimming Pool located in Minnesota Street. Another breach of his prohibition order.

In September 1986, BEWCYCK is a custodian at a school. He invited a young girl to the boiler room with offers of candy and was touching her inappropriately.

On December 7,2018 the Thunder Bay Police Service executes a warrant at BEWCYCK’S home on Franklin Street. They seize 2 computers. There are 3647 files of child porn stored on the computers. All the victims are between 9-14 years of age. Also found in his browser history is a list of child porn sites he had visited.

MICHAEL DANIAL BEWCYCK retired in 2010 as a school janitor. He has a previous criminal record (see below)

BEWCYCK has been in custody since August 26,2018 for 208 real days which is enhanced to 312 days.

He is sentenced to 20 months in jail (600 days). He has 288 days left to serve. He will be receive statutory release in early October. He will receive a 3 year probation order with conditions to receive programming for sex offenders.

He is also being labelled a lifetime REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER.

BEWCYCK IS LED OUT OF THE COURT TO COMPLETE HIS SENTENCE

THE RECENT CRIMINAL HISTORY OF REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER MICHAEL DANIAL BEWCYK

THIS IS THE STORY THAT THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS AT TBPS, TBLAZYNEWSWATCH & CBC THUNDER BAY WON’T TELL YOU.

MICHAEL DANIAL BEWYCK spent a lot of time near children. Mostly as a janitor at a school. Sources indicate he’s not working and living on 300 block of North Franklin near the intersection of Cumming Street and very close to the Neebing River. He used to play a lot of strange games with kids in the basement crawl space of the school. The now grown up adults recall those incidents and how strange they were. It’s not know if he’s been married or has children. He was fired by the school after his child pornography charges.

Between July 11, 2006 and January 21,2010 MICHAEL DANIEL BEWYCK defrauded his own father in excess of 5000$. The exact amount is not known, nor are the details surrounding the lengthy fraud. On October 28,2010, he pleads guilty and is sentenced along with the accessing child pornography charges. He receives a 9 month Conditional Sentence Order (house arrest) on the fraud. A charge of fraudulently impersonating his father is withdrawn by the Crown.

On March 10,2010 Numerous charges were laid across Ontario following a massive, coordinated, child pornography investigation by the Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet.

At a media conference in Toronto, OPP Commissioner Julian FANTINO along with members of the Provincial Strategy's police partners, who were instrumental in bringing this investigation to a successful conclusion, announced details of this investigation. (When was the last time you seen the Director of Communications at TBPS or the Chief of Police do a media conference?)

A total of 44 search warrants were executed, resulting in 122 charges against 35 persons. Charges include Sexual Assault, Possession of Child Pornography, Make Available Child Pornography, Distribution of Child Pornography, Making Child Pornography, Accessing Child Pornography, and various drug offences. In addition, two child victims have been identified during the investigation - one in Ontario and one outside of Canada and numerous charges regarding possession of prohibited weapons have been laid.

Among those charged was MICHAEL DANIAL BEWYCK of Thunder Bay who was 61 years old at the time. He was arrested on March 10, 2010 charged with accessing child pornography on November 29,2009 and released on a promise to appear.

On October 10, 2010, he plead guilty and was sentenced by Justice Frank Valente to 21 days in jail, and 12 months probation. He was placed on the SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY for 10 years and also ordered to submit his DNA. His computer for accessing child pornography was forfeited to the Crown. Oddly, the victim fine surcharge was waived.

BREACHING HIS PROHIBITION ORDER

On August 8,2015, a 67 year old MICHAEL DANIAL BEWYCK attended the CLE knowing that he was was under an ORDER OF PROHIBITION by the Sex Offender Registry ( tbnewswatch and CBC keep calling in probation lol) from being at public parks, where persons under the age of 16 are present. He was arrested by Thunder Bay Police and released with an appearance notice for court.

On November 16,2015, MICHAEL DANIAL BEWYCK pleads guilty in the courtroom of Justice Dino DiGiuseppe. He’s fined 250$ along with a victim surcharge of 75$ and given 6 months to pay.

Iola Car Show prepares for Rally for Iola - Sept. 18th

Robert McKenzie 0 3007 Article rating: No rating

NORTHERN, WISCONSIN ~~~~~~  August 16 , 2021  (LSNews) When the Iola Car Show was cancelled in 2020, the staff held a car cruise to celebrate all things cars. This cruise brought in over 1,000 cars that travelled through surrounding communities. This showcase was a treat for Waupaca County - most volunteers are local and without the Iola Car Show, they could really enjoy the car cruise. It was such a "feel-good" event that it will happen again, this time on September 18th, as a last hoorah before the car show seasons takes a break. All show cars are welcome - there is no cutoff year!
