KENORA, ONTARIO ~~~~~~ May 7, 2022 (LSNews) ILLEGAL PUBLICATION BAN IS ORDERED BY JUSTICE OF THE PEACE PATRICIA CLYDEDALE CORNELL
DUTY COUNSEL SHARON SCHARFE POSSIBLY VIOLATING THE RULES OF PROFFESSIONAL CONDUCT OF THE LAW SOCIETY OF ONTARIO
Hardworking Treaty Three Police responded to a violent attack yesterday, Friday May 6,2022 on the Wabaseemoong Indian Reserve, also known as Whitedog.
Officers arrived quickly to investigate and found a man had received various injuries and a window had been smashed.
A suspect was identified and arrested.
A 31 year old EMMA FISHER was criminally charged with:
- -assault causing bodily harm
- -mischief
- -breach of probation
FISHER has a lengthy criminal record of violence and was held overnight at the Treaty Three detachment.
FISHER made a telephone bail court appearance this morning, Saturday May 7,2022 before Justice of the Peace Patricia Clydesdale Cornell at Kenora WASH Court.
Duty Counsel Sharon Scharfe tells the court that FISHER did not want to talk to her. Sharon Scharfe then makes the bizarre move of requesting a Section 517 publication ban on the matter when she has no authority to do so and is violating the Rules of Professional Conduct set out by the Law Society of Ontario.
Justice of the Peace Clydesdale-Cornell knowing that SCHARFE has not received instructions from FISHER orders the Section 517 publication ban which essentially is illegal, as it must be requested by the accused or their legal representative. But, it seems that rules and ethics aren’t that important to the Justice of the Peace & the Duty Counsel.
FISHER was transported to the Kenora Jail and has another court appearance on Monday May 9,2022
