Why isn't the Police Chief PR Department telling families with children
THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~~~ June 2, 2021 (LSN) Inside Edition reported on May 20,2021 about the criminal charges facing 49 year old DARCY BEARDY. There are several charges against BEARDY, most notably, sexual assault on a young female.
BEARDY was supposed to be residing at an apartment on Ontario Street with a surety. Inside Edition has learned that he was not living there and his surety has revoked. AN ARREST WARRANT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE ARREST OF DARCY BEARDY.

ALLEGED CHILD RAPIST REMAINS FREE ON BAIL....AGAIN.
THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS AT TBPS DIDN’T TELL THE PUBLIC ABOUT THIS
Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers learned of a young girl under the age of 12 being raped on September 17,2019. TBPS Officers immediately investigated and gathered evidence.
A now 49 year old DARCY BEARDY was arrested on September 18,2019 and criminally charged with:
- -sexual assault on young person
- -touching a young person for sexual purpose with his tongue
- -possession of a firearm without a license
- -carelesss storage of a firearm.
DARCY BEARDY had outstanding criminal charges of resisting arrest by a TBPS Officer on March 12,2019.
BEARDY was held in custody for several days at the Thunder Bay Jail.
Provincial Crown Attorney Manon Arbour agreed to release DARCY BEARDY to the John Howard Society on September 26,2019. Justice of the Peace Marcel Donio ordered the release with conditions:
- -no contact with anyone under 16
- -no contact with victims or witnesses.
- -be amenable to the rules of the John Howard Society and reside there.
- -not go any to any parks or areas where children under 16 might be present.
BEARDY was released on September 26,2019.
MORE CHARGES
DARCY BEARDY was arrested on January 10,2020 for allegedly failing to comply with his bail conditions. He was held at the Thunder Bay Jail for another Bail Hearing on January 20,2020.
Justice of the Peace Bruce Leaman agreed to release BEARDY on a $250 no deposit bail surety release to go live with his surety Francine Mckenzie at her apartment in the 100 block of Ontario Street.
He has several conditions to not be around children or the victim.
His next court appearance is June 17,2021.
Inside Edition sources indicate that BEARDY might not even be living at the Ontario Street apartment anymore and failed to notify TBPS or the courts.
Despite this horrific crime, the Director of Communications at TBPS failed to notify the public about any of the arrests of DARCY BEARDY.
We learned over the years that the Director of Communications at TBPS, along with his local taxpayer subsidized media buddies at TBLAZYWATCH & CBC just don’t care about children in our community.
