Shopper Drug Mart Memorial Ave at Oliver Road

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO    ~~~~~~~  May 7, 2021 (LSN)   Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers arrested a woman wanted on warrants last night, Thursday, May 6,2021 who was shoplifting with children. But the Director of Communications at TBPS or his taxpayer-subsidized media buddies at TBLAZYWATCH & CBC never told the public that she was wanted or arrested.

On May 3,2021, a warrant was issued for the arrest of CANDACE KEESIC-BEARMAN. It’s alleged that KEESIC-BEARMAN choked and unlawfully confined a woman in the 288 Windsor Street apartments. She also failed to attend court as required. There are three outstanding warrants for her arrest.

But last night, it’s alleged that CANDACE KEESIC-BEARMAN was shoplifting at Shopper’s Drug Mart located at 315 Memorial Avenue with 3 children present, an 11, 10 &7 year old child. It’s alleged that KEESIC-BEARMAN entered the store shortly after 8pm and proceeded to the beauty section and put several items into a reusable bag at the bottom of her shopping cart. She then proceeded to the dairy section and placed food items in her reusable bag at bottom of shopping cart. She allegedly proceeded to checkout to pay for a few items but tried to leave the store with all the $112.29 of unpaid items in her shopping cart. Store security stopped her and Thunder Bay Police arrived to execute the arrest warrants.

KEESIC-BEARMAN spent the night in a jail cell at Balmoral Police Station and appeared by video today, Friday May 7,2021 in Bail Court before Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Jennifer Neil. It’s KEESIC-BEARMAN’S 39th birthday today and she will be released on conditions:

  • - to stay away from Shopper’s Drug Mart
  • -not attend 288 Windsor Apartments
  • -stay away from victims
  • -no weapons

KEESIC-BEARMAN was released with a future court date

As per usual practice, the Director of Communications at TBPS didn’t tell the public about the warrants or arrest.
