WANTED PAROLEE ARRESTED FOR FENTANYL DEALING & PROHIBITED WEAPON

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~~~  November 19, 2020 (LSN)  Hardworking TBPS Officers arrested a wanted parolee yesterday evening, Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at about 9:11 pm. 

A 49-year-old ROBERT JEAN-GUY FILION allegedly had a quantity of drugs and a butterfly knife on him. 

ROBERT JEAN-GUY FILION was criminally charged with:

  • -possession of a prohibited weapon (butterfly knife)
  • -breaching three different weapon prohibition orders 
  • -possession of fentanyl for purpose of trafficking 
  • -possession of methamphetamine for purpose of trafficking. 

ROBERT JEAN-GUY FILION was just released from prison on February 13, 2020. 

Despite being wanted by hardworking TBPS Officers, the lazy Director of Communications at TBPS never told the public about it. 

ROBERT JEAN-GUY FILION spent the night at the Balmoral Police Station and appeared in Bail Court before Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Denette Ellard

Provincial Crown Attorney Blair Hagen would not consent to the release of this career criminal. 

ROBERT JEAN-GUY FILION was transported to the Thunder Bay Jail.  He has another court appearance on Monday November 23,2020

Another great job by hardworking TBPS Officers.
