WANTED GUN SUSPECT SINCE MAY 1ST ARRESTED BY TBPS

WANTED GUN SUSPECT SINCE MAY 1ST ARRESTED BY TBPS

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~ May 8, 2021  (LSN) Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers arrested a 34 year old CHRISTOPHER MARVIN RAYMER last night, Friday May 7,2021 on 6 gun charges.

RAYMER was wanted on a warrant by TBPS since May 1,2021, but the Director of Communications at TBPS never told the public that this gun suspect was wanted. It seems that the Director waits until someone is actually shot before he warns the public about a wanted gun suspect.

RAYMER spent the night in a cell at Balmoral Police Station and appeared by video today, Saturday May 8,2021 in Bail Court before Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Pat Clysdale-Cornell.

A 34 year CHRISTOPHER MARVIN RAYMER has six criminal charges:

  • -possession of a prohibited 410 shotgun
  • -possesion of a firearm while prohibited
  • -careless storage of a 410 shotgun
  • -possession of a firearm with no licence
  • -occupant of a motor vehicle in which prohibited gun was stored
  • -possession of a 410 shotgun for a purpose dangerous to the public

RAYMER has been prohibited from possession of weapons since April 28,2016 and has a lengthy criminal record.

Provincial Crown Attorney Carlynne Bell would not consent to the release of RAYMER.  He is being transferred to the Thunder Bay Jail and has another court appearance  May 10, 2021
