Update graffiti tagging

OPP Downtown Sioux Lookout

SIOUX LOOKOUT, ONTARIO  ~~ April 7,, 2020  (LSN)  Members of the Sioux Lookout Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges after investigating a string of graffiti tagging incidents in the Municipality.

Winston ASSINIWE, 27 years old, of the First Nations Territory of Anishnawwek, Ontario, has been charged with Mischief Under $5,000, contrary to the Criminal Code. 

A warrant has been issued for the accused's arrest.

The OPP thanks everyone who has assisted with this investigation. SIOUX LOOKOUT, ONTARIO  ~~ March 25, 2020  (LSN)  Members of the Sioux Lookout Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a string of graffiti tagging incidents that have occurred in the Municipality over the past three days.

Public and private buildings and infrastructure in the downtown area, Third Avenue North, and Fifth Avenue North, have been vandalized with black and/or orange spray paint. Police are looking to speak with an individual wearing a red hoodie and black pants who was in the downtown area around 10:00 pm on March 24, 2020,
