NIPIGON, ONTARIO ~~~~~  September 18, 2020  (LSN)  VICTIM IN THUNDER BAY HOSPITAL AFTER ESCAPING CAR TRUNK. HARDWORKING NIPIGON OPP MAKE ARRESTS ON TWO MEN.  TWO OTHERS STILL WANTED  Thunder Bay, Sault Ste Marie,

THE ALLEGATIONS

In the early morning hours of September 14, 2020 a group of 4 individuals, armed with several guns, a baseball bat, and a taser kidnapped a Nipigon meth head.

A 58 year old BRIAN SOOS was kidnapped and brought to 31 Park Road in Nipigon, the home of local criminal STEVEN MAHONEY.

The kidnapping victim was tied up and threatened repeatedly by missing woman ALYSSA TURNBULL’S brother.

A 29 year old ANDREW OTWAY of Amelia Street in Thunder Bay had a 4-10 shotgun pointed at BRIAN SOOS and demanded to know the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

OTWAY was joined by 32 year old BILLY JOHN THOMPSON of Nipigon as well as BUDDY SAULT & JASON LAWSON

SOOS was not giving up any information and as a result was repeatedly beaten for about 30 minutes. His jaw was badly broken as well as numerous ribs.

JASON LAWSON & BILLY THOMPSON left the residence with 2 of the firearms in BILLY’S truck.

ANDREW OTWAY & BUDDY SAULT stayed behind with BRIAN SOOS and one gun which would later be recovered by hardworking Nipigon OPP Officers.

OTWAY cut the rope from BRIAN SOOS feet and gave him Purple Down AKA Fentanyl and a drink of ice tea. The interrogation continued by ANDREW OTWAY with a gun still pointed at SOOS.

OTWAY proceeded to put SOOS in the trunk of a 2014 blue Kia 4 door sedan and drove towards Old Mill Road as directed by JASON LAWSON

At some point during the drive, SOOS was able to open the trunk and roll out of the moving vehicle. Witnesses in Nipigon spotted SOOS on the road and immediately provided assistance. Ambulance and OPP were called.

OTWAY later noticed the trunk open and stopped to check and discover his kidnapping victim was no longer in the trunk.

OTWAY then headed back to Steven Mahoney’s residence at 31 Park Road in search of SOOS and did not find him there.

OTWAY realized that SOOS has escaped and OPP were now involved. OTWAY began driving his Kia sedan towards Thunder Bay and threw out his 410 shotgun.

Hardworking Nipigon OPP moved fast on OTWAY and pulled him over. OTWAY was arrested. His vehicle impounded by OPP. A search warrant was executed by OPP at 31 Park Road and on OTWAY’S vehicle.

OTWAY would admit to the OPP of throwing out the gun. OPP have retrieved the one gun.

A 32 year old BILLY JOHN THOMPSON of Settlers Road was arrested later that day.

BOTH MEN HAVE NUMEROUS CRIMINAL CHARGES FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, WEAPONS & KIDNAPPING (see attached)

Both men were held at the Nipigon OPP detachment and made an audio appearance in Thunder Bay Bail Court on Tuesday September 15,2020 before Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Denette Ellard. Due to the violent and ongoing investigation, the Provincial Crown Attorney Natasha Jerome requested a 3 day hold on both individuals. They were ordered not to communicate with each other or JASON LAWSON, BUDDY SAULT & BRIAN SOOS

OTWAY & THOMPSON were transported to the Thunder Bay Jail. They had another court appearance this afternoon, Friday September 18,2020 and remain in custody.

LAWSON & SAULT are still being sought by OPP. If you have information on the whereabouts of JASON LAWSON or BUDDY SAULT, please contact Nipigon OPP.

BRIAN SOOS remains in Thunder Bay hospital with broken ribs and jaw along with other injuries. He is expected to survive this violent attack.

As of 5pm today, Friday September 18,2020 there are still several OPP Officers investigating and searching the STEVEN MAHONEY home at 31 Park Road in Nipigon.

LAZY LEITH & DUMB DOUG AT TBLAZYWATCH WERE CONTACTED BY NIPIGON RESIDENTS WITH THIS STORY. BOTH DECLINED TO PUBLISH BECAUSE IT WOULD BE TOO HARD & TOO MUCH WORK FOR EITHER OF THEM TO DO. If they can’t copy and paste something, then it’s not newsworthy to them.

You have to remember that the whole TBLAZYWATCH organization got outworked by an overweight disabled cement finisher who started his own website.

ALYSSA TURNBULL went missing in April of this year. She was doing a lot of drugs at the time of her disappearance. OPP have expended numerous resources in the investigation. STORM BORG & STEVEN MAHONEY are both former boyfriends of TURNBULL. They have been implicated in her disappearance, but never criminally charged. It’s also been rumoured that the father & son meth head combination of BRIAN & NICK SOOS were involved in disposing of Alyssa’s remains.

OPP Helicopters, dive teams, K-9 units and ground search teams have been involved in the investigation of what happened to ALYSSA TURNBULL

NIPIGON RESIDENTS HAVE TOLD INSIDE EDITION THEY ARE FED UP AT WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THEIR SMALL TOWN.

Nipigon used to be a nice place to live and raise a family, but now it’s changed for the worst with junkies and meth heads

Big thanks to all the Inside Edition sources for contributing to this
