MAN WANTED FOR ARMED ROBBERY ARRESTED

MARTELL was wanted on a warrant since July 2,2020

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~  July 12, 2020  (LSN)   Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers caught up with a man wanted for armed robbery last night, Saturday July 11,2020.

Public No Warned!
It appears s part of the new role of the Police Department directed by City Council and the Police Service Board, they do not tell the public that this person was on the loose.  There appears to be a movement away from the officers fighting crime.. To do this they need to prevent  the citizens of Thunder Bay from becoming aware of  most crimes

MARTELL spent the night in a jail cell at the Thunder Bay Police Station and appeared by audio in Bail Court today, Sunday July 12,2020 before Her Worship Zelda Kitchekeesic.

MARTELL is facing new criminal charges of:

  • -carrying concealed weapon (handgun)
  • -breach of release order (contact coaccused STACEY MANNING)
  • -armed robbery with a hatchet
  • -mischief
  • -carry conceal weapon (hatchet)

MARTELL has outstanding child abuse charges with co-accused STACEY MANNING of:

  • -criminal negligence causing bodily harm to person under 16
  • -failing to provide the necessities of life to a person under 16

MARTELL HAS A HISTORY OF CRIME AND DRUGS. He committed an armed robber at a Mac’s Convenience Store in April 2018

MARTELL was busted in 2016 with $95 000 cash and cocaine.

Inside Edition sources indicate that MARTELL has been dealing drugs out of Thunder Bay Social Housing for the Southern Ontario gang members

Provincial Crown Attorney Heather Bracken is not consenting to the release of MARTELL.

MARTELL was transported to the Thunder Bay Jail at 2 pm this afternoon.

He has another court appearance tomorrow and his lawyer Roy Karlstedt will try work on a bail plan for him.
