Investigation into woman’s welfare leads to big fentanyl & cocaine bust

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~~   October 2, 2020  (LSN)  Hardworking TBPS Officers were busy last night busting more drug dealers Drug dealers busted with 50 grams of fentanyl & 389 grams of cocaine after they threw them out the window.

Yesterday, Thursday October 1,2020 TBPS Officers arrested more people in a sizeable bust just past 2pm.

Officers arrived at 100 Limbrick Street to check on the welfare of a woman from the Kasabonika Indian Reserve.

KURTIS BRIAN GINTER answered the door and Officers noticed drugs being thrown out the window.

TBPS Officers seized 390 grams of cocaine and 50 grams of fentanyl.

They all spent the night in a jail cell at Balmoral Police Station and appeared by video in Bail Court this morning before Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Anna Gibbon

All are facing criminal charges of:

  • -possession fentanyl for purpose of trafficking
  • -possession cocaine for purpose of trafficking

A 24 year old JOANNA ANDERSON YELLOWHEAD of Kasabonika Indian Reserve was released on a $1000 no deposit bail. ANDERSON YELLOWHEAD is acquiring the legal services of defence lawyer Robert Habjan who has negotiated her release today.

  • -She must leave Thunder Bay by Sunday October 4,2020
  • -Must reside with mother on the Kasabonika Indian Reserve
  • -Must notify TBPS whenever she returns to the city.

A 17 year old male youth C.S-R from Toronto was remanded into custody. His next court appearance is October 5,2020.

A 27 year old SEAN BRIAN GINTER was also remanded into custody at Thunder Bay Jail. His next court appearance is Tuesday October 6,2020

A 25 year old KURTIS BRENT GINTER was remanded into custody at Thunder Bay Jail. His next court appearance is Tuesday October 6,2020. He isn’t allowed to contact his girlfriend ASHLEY LAWSON.

A 25 year old ASHLEY LAWSON was remanded into custody at the Thunder Bay Correctional Center. Her next court appearance Monday, October 5,2020

A 21 year old ISAAC ADJE ANKAMAH of Toronto was remanded into custody at the Thunder Bay Jail. His next court appearance is Monday October 5,2020

A 25 year old ADAM KARRAS BRADY has extra charges. He’s also charged with obstructing a police officer by providing a false name to hardworking TBPS Officer Andre Creary

BRADY was wanted on warrants by TBPS but the Director of Communications never told the public that he was wanted for failing to notify police of address and theft under $5000 X 2 from Renco Foods in Centenial Square. BRADY is remanded into custody at the Thunder Bay Jail. His next court appearance is Tuesday October 6,2020.

TBPS has a very lazy Director of Communications that Police Chief Hauth does nothing about. BRADY is remanded into custody at the Thunder Bay Jail.
