WEST NIPISSING, ONTARIO ~~~ June 24, 2020 (LSN) On June 23, 2020 at approximately 11:55 p.m., members from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Nipissing West Detachment and the North East Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant at a residence on Railway Street in the Municipality of West Nipissing (Sturgeon Falls).
Officers seized a quantity of drugs suspected to be: Fentanyl and Cocaine, drug paraphernalia and over $2000 in Canadian currency. The street value of the drugs is approximately $68,180.

As a result of the warrant, three people were arrested and charged.
Renée FALARDEAU, age 34, and Nathanal HUTCHINSON, age 29, both from Sturgeon Falls, were charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA);
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Opioid (other than heroin), contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA; and
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC).
The two accused were released on an Undertaking and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on September 3, 2020, in West Nipissing.
Brian FISHER-YOUNG, age 31, from Sturgeon Falls, was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA);
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Opioid (other than heroin), contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA;
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC); and
- Failure to Comply with Release Order - Other than to Attend Court, contrary to section 145(5)(a) of the CC.
The accused remains in custody and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice - Bail Court (video conferencing) on July 2, 2020 in North Bay.
