THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~~~ January 13, 2022 (LSNews) Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers conducted another drug bust yesterday, Wednesday January 12,2022 at apartment 301 at 377 Cumberland Street North at 7:10am
Officers found more Toronto drug dealers and some local junkies. One who was wanted.
Officer seized a quantity of cocaine, fentanyl & cash.
- seizure of more than $31,000 in cash,
- value of drugs seized totals about $49,000
A 29 year old black male GADA RAGASA aka “CHUCKY” of Whitby is criminally charged with:
-possession for purpose of trafficking X 2 (cocaine & oxycodone)
-possession of proceeds of crime (cash) over $5000
RAGASA was also wanted by Thunder Bay Police for a September 23,2021 incident in a stolen Kia where he was involved in a police chase.
- -dangerous driving
- -fleeing police
- -forged documents
- -possession of forged documents with intent to commit crime
- -breach of bail (not residing with surety)
A 24 year old BELIEVE KASHALA of Brampton is criminally charged with:
- -possession for purpose of trafficking X 2 (cocaine & oxycodone)
- -possession of proceeds of crime (cash)
A 17 year old black female from Toronto is criminally charged with:
- -possession for purpose of trafficking X 2 (cocaine & oxycodone)
- -possession of proceeds of crime (cash)
Officers also located a wanted junkie who tried to provide a false name.
A 49 year old DWAYNE ALEXANDER QUIRT was criminally charged with:
- -breach of probation X 2
- -obstruct TBPS Officer by providing false name
QUIRT has outstanding criminal charges from April 7,2021 when he was captured on video breaking into a vehicle. QUIRT has a history of breaking into vehicles
TBPS MEDIA RELATIONS COORDINATOR SCOTT PARADIS NEVER TOLD THE PUBLIC THAT DWAYNE ALEXANDER QUIRT WAS WANTED OR ARRESTED
QUIRT who receives $750 monthly on welfare was released this morning, Thursday January 13,2021 by Justice of the Peace Anna Gibbon on a $300 no deposit bail. His next court appearance is February 11,2022.
