BRANDISHING NEEDLE CORNER STORE ROBBERY

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~~   October 15, 2020  (LSN)  On Tuesday October 13,2020 at 3:30pm masked woman entered Alley’s Corner Variety located at 700 Franklin Street South brandishing a needle and demanding money from the clerk.

The robber made off with $240 in cash. Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers arrived but were unable to locate the robber. Video surveillance helped establish a suspect.

An arrest warrant was issued for 38 year old LYNDSAY ANNE HYMERS and she was located on Wednesday October 14, 2020 shortly after 10 pm at a George Street residence.

LYNDSAY ANNE HYMERS is criminally charged with:

  • -robbery,
  • -disguise with intent
  • -breach of probation

HYMERS spent the night at Balmoral Police Station and appeared by phone before Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Anna Gibbon this morning Thursday October 15,2020.

The court learned from Crown Attorney Gordon Fillmore that HYMERS has outstanding criminal charges.

The Director of Communications never told the public about those charges either.

HYMERS was remanded into custody at the Correctional Center with a future court date.
