THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~~~ May 16, 2022 (LSNews) Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers have charged another suspect in the murder of JORDAN LAPOINTE
A 39 year old DEREK ROBERT TURNER has been criminally charged with:
TURNER was arrested on Saturday May 14,2022 and is currently in custody at the Thunder Bay Jail.
Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers have arrested a wanted man yesterday, Saturday May 14,2022. The man wanted on a committal warrant, but the public was never notified by TBPS Media Relations Coordinator Scott Paradis.
The surety for the criminal revoked and when TBPS Officers went to make the arrest, the man allegedly resisted arrest and was found with crack cocaine in his possession.
A 39 year old DEREK ROBERT TURNER was criminally charged with:
- -resist arrest
- -breach of release order
- -possession of crack cocaine
TURNER has numerous outstanding criminal charges.
TURNER was held overnight at Balmoral Police Station and made a video court appearance this morning, Sunday May 15,2022 before Justice of the Peace Shiree Scribner.
Federal Crown Attorney Misbah Haque informed the court that the possession of crack cocaine charge would be withdrawn.
Provincial Crown Attorney Andrew Sadler intends to prosecute all other charges.
TURNER was transported to the Thunder Bay Jail and has another court appearance on Tuesday.
Sadly, TBPS Media Relations Coordinator Scott Paradis has failed to tell the public again.
TBPS Media Relations Coordinator Scott Paradis & his boss, Director of Communications Chris Adams have repeatedly ignored their job duties and put public safety at risk.
They won’t even tell the public about the majority of arrests. Their buddies at TBLAZYWATCH are equally as lazy.
Nor will he show pictures of criminals to the public.
TBPS Police Chief Sylvie Hauth permits this laziness & incompetence to occur. Her leadership at TBPS is currently under criminal investigation by the OPP. Having two former TBLAZYWATCH employees working in communications at TBPS has been a disaster for years
