Very Violent last 30 days in Thunder Bay Residents are Frighted

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~~   June 5, 2022 (LSNews)  2nd Murder in Current River Ward in less than a month Very Violent last 30 days in Thunder Bay. Thunder Bay Residents are Frighted.

Tyrese BELMORE, 19, of Sioux Lookout, died from his injuries and was pronounced dead at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center for the Shipley Street Homicide.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, the Thunder Bay Police Service identified 101 Shipley Street and another on Brock Street East associated to the ongoing homicide investigation.

Thunder Bay Police in a media release admit that  homicide on Shipley Street is related to the drug trade in the city and not random in nature and confirmed that a weapon was used but could not provide further details

It is difficult for the Citizens of Thunder Bay to feel safe in their community knowing the Thunder Bay Police Chief's PR person is on Facebook bragging about how he took down Thunder Bay Courthouse Inside Edition Facebook Page reporting to our community what happens in Court Hearing.

The Page was up for almost 7 years with No! Problems from the Courts
Only from the City Police  PR Department and Municipal Politicians wanting to cover up crime and Spend Millions on a News Police Campus if re elected

There are 61,000 plus people who follow that page.
The many email and messages from frightened citizens who are asking why.  What are they hiding from us?

One answer might be that there is a Municipal Election in October and this council support of Toronto Drug Dealers and now their Drug manager is supporting free drugs and booze for Junkies

And we all know that nothing is free  It will be coming out of Health Care Dollars which are in short supply

In Oregon overdoses reach record highs after the decriminalization of hard drugs
According to The Seattle Times, Republican State Representative Lilly Morgan noted a 700-percent increase in overdoses and a 120-percent increase in overdose deaths. She said, "we have overdoses increasing at drastic rates

In November of 2020, Oregonians voted for Ballot Measure 110 which decriminalized personal possession of drugs such as heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, and LSD.

The bill passed with 58 percent support after its proponents declared that drug possession and use was a healthcare issue and not a criminal issue.

Spending ONTARIO Health Care Dollars on Free Booze and Drugs

The possibility of the City of Thunder Bay seeking an exemption of its own under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act was raised last year in a report prepared by Cynthia Olsen for the city's Intergovernmental Affairs Committee and Head of the City Drug Strategy Department

That report, prepared in response to a push from Coun. Aldo Ruberto to pursue more harm reduction solutions to the overdose crisis, pointed to strong evidence that criminalizing the possession of drugs is ineffective and disproportionately harms Indigenous and Black people.

In a 2020 meeting with Olsen and police chief Sylvie Hauth, then-Minister of Health and local MP Patty Hajdu confirmed the minister can issue an exemption for municipalities, but suggested they could be challenging to implement without provincial support.

Citizens of Thunder Bay are Frightened, as crime goes up and up and worse there is a large shortage of Doctors in Thunder Bay and news Doctors do not apear to want to come to Thunder Bay fearing for their family.  10 more Doctors are expected to retire this year.
