VICTIM OF ATTEMPTED MURDER ARRESTED BY TBPS IN GUN & DRUGS BUST AT SOCIAL HOUSING

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~  July 28, 2022 (LSNews)  Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers have arrested more drug dealing gangsters yesterday, Wednesday July 27,2022 at Thunder Bay Social Housing McIvor Court.

Officers executed a search warrant at 1100 Lincoln Street last night just past 8pm.

Sometimes getting shot by other drug dealers isn’t enough to stop someone from dealing.

TBPS Officers arrested two dealers with a tan coloured Glock 9mm handgun. Officers seized cocaine, fentanyl & cash.

TBPS Officers learned the Glock 9mm had been modified to be fired as an automatic and the serial number had been removed.

TBPS Officers arrested two suspects.

A 25 year old white male, BORIS KLJUJIC, 25, of Brampton & a 25 year old black male, JA’COY SHYHIEM TEIJI STEVENSON were both criminally charged with:

  • -Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking �
  • -Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking �
  • -Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 �
  • -Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 2 �
  • -Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm �
  • -Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm �
  • -Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm �
  • -Careless Storage of a Firearm �
  • -Making an Automatic Firearm

They were both held overnight at Balmoral Police Station and transported to the Thunder Bay Jail today, Thursday July 28,2022

They both have court appearances again on August 2,2022

TBPS Media Relations Coordinator Scott Paradis is refusing to show the public pictures of these dealers. He’s also refusing to tell the public that JA’COY SHYHIEM TEIJI STEVENSON was the victim of a shooting on October 23,2021

Murders Thunder Bay vs other Ontario Cities

Thunder Bay maintained its title as the murder capital of Canada in 2018,  For the third consecutive year - and the fourth time in the last five years

 It has been announced again that Thunder Bay is the Murder Capital of Canada for 2018 in Canada for CMAs with populations between 100,000 to less than 500,000 people

It’s made Thunder Bay the highest per capita opioid death rate in Ontario.

The 44 deaths were a 40 per cent increase from 2017, a year in which Thunder Bay also held the highest provincial rate.

Between July 2017 and June 2018, nearly 3,900 naloxone kits were handed out by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and local pharmacies, 

 

 

Thunder Bay is that the homicide rate for 2017 is down from 2016 when it stood at 6.62 per 100,000
