THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~ July 24, 2022 (LSNews) Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers have made an arrest after two indigenous females were violently assaulted on Saturday July 23,2023. Inside Edition sources indicate one female was stabbed while the male suspect stole alcohol from them.

BEARDY was held overnight at Balmoral Police Station and transported to the Thunder Bay Jail this afternoon, Sunday July 24,2022

As per usual practice, TBPS Media Relations Coordinator Scott Paradis isn’t telling the public again. He doesn’t really care about robbery victims and certainly doesn’t care about violence on indigenous women.

Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers arrested a well known criminal with a history of violence yesterday, Sunday December 12,2021
A 26 year old CODY BARNABUS BEARDY was criminally charged with:
- -possession of a knife for purpose dangerous to public
- -breach of probation order (do not possess weapons)
BEARDY was sentenced on November 26,2021 to time served and probation for a robbery at Safeway.
BEARDY was transported to the Thunder Bay Jail today, Monday December 13,2021 and has another court appearance on Wednesday.
TBPS Media Relations Coordinator Scott Paradis is not telling the public again. He’s not very transparent with the public and doesn’t seem to care about public safety.

Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers arrested a 25 year old CODY BARNABUS BEARDY yesterday, Wednesday August 11,2021
BEARDY is criminally charged with:
- -robbery at Safeway on Dawson Road
- -carry weapon (knife) for purpose dangerous to public
- -breach of probation X 4
BEARDY spent the night in custody at Balmoral Police Station and appeared by Zoom connection today, Thursday August 12,2021 in Thunder Bay Bail Court before His Worship, Justice of the Peace Jerry Woods.
Provincial Crown Attorney Piera Pasloski would not consent to the release of BEARDY. He is being transported to the Thunder Bay Jail and has another court appearance next week.
As per usual practice, the Director of Communications at TBPS has stopped notifying the public about violent robberies in our city.
His taxpayer subsidized media buddies at TBLAZYWATCH & CBC also don’t tell the public.

GAS SNIFFER SENTENCED FOR ATTACK ON BUS DRIVER
A 25 year old CODY BARNABUS BEARDY appeared by video from the Thunder Bay Jail on Wednesday March 17,2021 before Her Honour, Justice Apple Newton-Smith to plead guilty to charges relating to his recent attack on a Thunder Bay transit driver.
Provincial Crown Attorney Matthew Paik & Defence Attorney Gilbert Labine have a joint submission for Her Honour to consider.
CODY BEARDY was in the Shopper’s Drug Mart on January 26,2021 shoplifting while intoxicated and on a bail release. Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers arrested him. He’s guilty of breaching his release order.
CODY BEARDY boarded a transit bus on March 5,2021 and physically attacked the driver throwing punches. He wound up on the ground wrestling with the driver. Hardworking Thunder Bay Police showed up and arrested BEARDY who provided a false name. He was on a Conditional Sentence Order for house arrest.
BEARDY is guilty of:
- -fail to comply with release order

Gilbert Labine tells the court that BEARDY is a band member of the Kingfisher Lake Indian Reserve. He has a bad criminal record and a child he doesn’t look after. He’s been an alcoholic since he was 14 years old as well as a gas sniffer. He has brain damage due to his excessive use of solvents. BEARDY is also homeless.
BEARDY has a lengthy criminal record of violence, theft and breaching court orders.
He has 30 days left on his Conditional Sentence Order and that will be served in custody. He receives an extra 30 days in custody. With statutory release, BEARDY will be released from custody in the first week of May 2021.

A joint submission is being presented to His Honour and BEARDY is pleading guilty to theft under $5000 & breach of probation. All other charges will be withdrawn.

BEARDY is represented by local lawyer Gilbert Labine. Crown Attorney Tiffany Boisvert is also on the line.
BEARDY entered the LCBO on Dawson Road on October 11,2020 and grabbed an $83.50 bottle of vodka and attempted to leave without paying. Security attempted to stop him and several citizens assisted. Hardworking TBPS Officers were called and BEARDY was placed in custody. He was on 3 different probation orders at the time dated September 27,2019, January 7,2020 & June 29,2020.
Gilbert Labine tells the court that BEARDY is a band member of the Kingfisher Lake Indian Reserve. He has a bad criminal record and a child he doesn’t look after. He’s been an alcoholic since he was 14 years old as well as a gas sniffer. He’s homeless and had his identification stolen. BEARDY has been in custody a total of 38 days at the jail since his arrest.
The joint submission is for time served of 38 days enhanced to 57 days custody plus 12 months probation. BEARDY is asked if he has anything to say before sentencing is passed. BEARDY responds “I got nothing to say”
Justice Band accepts the joint submission. BEARDY is being released today and plans on living in the 100 block of Blucher Avenue
Despite the help of citizens in making this arrest, the Director of Communications at TBPS didn’t tell the public about it. Other taxpayer subsidized media also refused to report it.

Hardworking TBPS Officers responded to a 911 call yesterday, Sunday October 11,2020 about a thief at the LCBO at the Dawson Road location.
Officers responded quickly to investigate. They found that several citizens including an off duty TBPS Officer had stopped a chronic thief and made a citizens arrest.
BEARDY HAD BEEN STEALING LUQUOR FROM THIS STORE FOR SEVERAL DAYS IN A ROW.
A 25 year old CODY BARNABUS BEARDY was taken into custody.
BEARDY was criminally charged with:
- -theft under $5000
- -breaching his June 29,2020 probation order
- -breaching his January 7,2020 probation order.
BEARDY spent the night in a cell at Balmoral Police Station and appeared by audio in Thunder Bay Bail Court this morning, Monday October 12,2020 before His Worship, Justice of the Peace Bruce Leaman.
Provincial Crown Attorney Katrina Van Kessel is not consenting to the release of this violent thief. He has a lengthy criminal record and will require supervision if released.

WANTED ON SEVERAL ARREST WARRANTS
DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS FAILED AGAIN TO WARN THE PUBLIC ABOUT THIS VIOLENT CRIMINAL.
Appearing this morning, Saturday February 16,2018 via video from the Thunder Bay Police Station in Bail Courtroom 104 is 23 year old CODY BARNABUS BEARDY.
It’s W.A.S.H. (Weekend And Statutory Holiday) Court today. His Worship, Justice of the Peace Zelda Kitchekeesic is presiding. Provincial Crown Derrick Silvestro is here along with Duty Counsel Joy Wakefield.
BEARDY is wearing a dark shirt with the number 2 on the front of it as he is listening to all his charges being read.
It’s alleged that on January 18,2019 BEARDY assaulted a man causing bodily harm. He’s also alleged to be breaching 2 separate probation orders. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
BEARDY was released from jail in December 2018 and was supposed to report to probation officer within 2 days. He was charged and a warrant issued for his arrest.
BEARDY was also scheduled to appear in court on January 15,2019. It’s alleged he did not appear and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Crown Attorney Derrick Silvestro is not consenting to the release of this violent criminal.
BEARDY is ordered not to contact his victim by the Justice of the Peace. Beardy replies “I don’t even like the guy”
BEARDY is being transferred to Thunder Bay Jail. He will make his next court appearance by video from the jail on Tuesday.
DESPITE ALL THESE WARRANTS FOR HIS ARREST, THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS AT TBPS FAILED TO NOTIFY THE PUBLIC ABOUT BEARDY BEING WANTED.

KNIFE THREATENING ARREST
On September 27,2018 he pulled a knife out on someone at Walmart on Dawson Road. He then proceeded to the LCBO to go steal vodka when police arrested him.
ROBBERY SUSPECT ARRESTED
A 911 call was received at 5:18 a.m. on April 22, 2017 of a robbery that had just occurred at the Mac's Convenience Store on Cumberland Street. The 26 year old male clerk advised that a male had entered the store and used a knife to threaten him and left with a small quantity of cash.
Officers responding to the call observed a male matching the suspect's description and apprehended him on the railway tracks a short distance away. He was arrested and escorted to the Balmoral Police station.
Cody Beardy, 21 years old was charged with Robbery, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Breach of Probation and Breach of Recognizance.
CODY BEARDY WANTED A CIGARETTE.
Officers responded to a 911 weapons call at the Prince Arthur Hotel just after 2:30 a.m. on April 9, 2017.
A 37 year old male was outside the hotel having a cigarette when he was approached by a male who asked for a cigarette. When the victim refused to give him one, the male pulled a knife out and threatened him with it and then left the area. Officers arrived within minutes and apprehended the suspect without incident in the area of Cumberland Street and Park Ave.
A 21 year old Cody Beardy was charged with Robbery, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Weapons Dangerous and Breach of Probation.
