ALLEGED WHITESANDS PEDOPHILE RELEASED ON BAIL DESPITE ANOTHER VICTIM COMING FORWARD

THUNDER BAY, ARMSTRONG, ONTARIO ~~~~~  July 28, 2022 (LSNews)   Inside Edition has learned that a third young female has come forward with allegations against a Whitesands man.

An 18 year old DOUGLAS FRANK BERNARD SINOWAY has more sexual assault charges on females under 16 years of age.

Inside Edition has also learned that Justice of the Peace Anna Gibbon order SINOWAY released today, Thursday July 28,2022 on $300 no deposit bail with conditions:

  • -reside on the Whitesands Reserve
  • -no contact with victims and not be within 25 meters of them
  • -not be with anyone under the age of 16 unless they are family members
  • -no alcohol
  • -curfew of 10pm to 6am

SINOWAY has another court appearance in Armstrong on September 27,2022

ARMSTRONG OPP ARREST WHITESANDS SEXUAL ASSAULT SUSPECT

Hardworking Armstrong OPP Officers have made an arrest yesterday, Thursday July 21,2022 as a result of a sexual assault investigation.

It’s alleged that the suspect was rubbing one young teenage female in a sexual manner and forced another young female to perform fellatio on him.

An 18 year old DOUGLAS FRANK BERNARD SINOWAY has been criminally charged with:

  • -sexual interference with female under 16
  • -sexual assault of female under 16

SINOWAY spent the night in custody at the Armstrong OPP detachment and was transported to the Thunder Bay Jail this morning, Friday July 22,2022

SINOWAY has a court appearance on Tuesday July 26,2022

Thunder Bay maintained its title as the murder capital of Canada in 2018,  For the third consecutive year - and the fourth time in the last five years

 It has been announced again that Thunder Bay is the Murder Capital of Canada for 2018 in Canada for CMAs with populations between 100,000 to less than 500,000 people

Thunder Bay had the highest rate in that category with 6.38 homicides per 100,000.

It’s made Thunder Bay the highest per capita opioid death rate in Ontario.

The 44 deaths were a 40 per cent increase from 2017, a year in which Thunder Bay also held the highest provincial rate.

Between July 2017 and June 2018, nearly 3,900 naloxone kits were handed out by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and local pharmacies, 

 

 

Thunder Bay is that the homicide rate for 2017 is down from 2016 when it stood at 6.62 per 100,000
