Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO November 8, 2019 - 13:00 (LSN)  Police Media Release States:  Police seized drugs and arrested two people after executing a search warrant at a Westfort home Thursday evening.

Members of the Thunder Bay Police Services Intelligence Unit and the OPP executed the search warrant at a residence in the 1300 block of Broadmore Avenue at about 5:45 p.m. on Nov, 7, 2019

The search warrant was obtained following an ongoing investigation that included information provided by tips and complaints from the public.

Following a search of the residence police located a quantity of crack cocaine and suspected methamphetamine. Police also seized cash and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

Jennifer Christine LUNN-HOGAN, 46, is charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, and Failing to Comply With Condition Recognizance.

Steven Christopher HOGAN, 32, Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Probation Order Non-Compliance, Possession of Firearm/ Ammo Contrary to Prohibition Order.

Both appeared in bail court on Friday, Nov. 8 and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates.

"The main reason for this declaration is not what is happening in China but what is happening in other countries," said WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

The concern is that it could spread to countries with weaker health systems.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO January 30, 2020 - 14:45 (LSN)  Police Media Release States:  Police have arrested and charged five, including two Toronto-area residents, and seized a quantity of drugs following the search of a southside home.

A search warrant was obtained for a residential address in the 100 block of Marks Street South following an ongoing investigation by members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Intelligence Unit, the OPP, and the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service into drug trafficking activity.

Officers attended the residence to execute the search warrant at about 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29.

When officers entered the home they immediately located multiple suspects and a quantity of suspected crack cocaine.

INTERNATIONAL FALLS, MINNESOTA,   January 30, 2020  (LSN) U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations officers at the International Falls Port of Entry targeted a rail container destined to arrive in Ranier, Minnesota.  CBP officers inspected the rail container and discovered 42,390 pieces of drug paraphernalia. On January 10, CBP seized the drug paraphernalia with an estimated domestic value of $467,372.

SAULT STE. MARIE, ONTARIO  January 30, 2020  (LSN) On January 29, 2020 officers with Patrol Services arrested 27 year old Tony Agawa, 31 year old Jessie Neyland and 49 year old Jody Schroeder for possession of stolen property.

Just after 12:30 p.m. on January 29, 2020 officers observed a vehicle on Northern Avenue that was reported stolen on January 28, 2020. Officers then observed the three accused enter the vehicle. At that time the three accused were arrested.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection intercepted nearly 40 pounds of marijuana at the Toronto Preclearance Facility on January 26. It was the second significant drug seizure by Toronto Preclearance officials in just over a month.
CBP officers used non-intrusive inspection technology to identify 42 wrapped packages of marijuana concealed in the checked baggage of two travelers bound for Miami International Airport. The drugs weighed 39.04 pounds (17.71 kilograms) and had an estimated street value of more than $90,000 USD.
