21 st Annual Christmas Parade of Lights

fundraising goal of $40 000

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  November 18, 2019  (LSN) Thunder Bay’s Parade of Lights 21st Annual Christmas Parade of Lights is set for December 7 th, 2019. The parade of trucks will be leaving Manitoulin’s yard at 7:00 p.m. and heading to the Intercity route.

Last year, over 100 decorated trucks participated and wowed the crowds of people waiting with families and friends. The event raised $34,422.52 and was divided equally between the benefiting charities. Your support will once again enhance the lives of local children & youth in these charities:

  • Autism Ontario - Thunder Bay & District Chapter
  • George Jeffrey Children’s Centre
  • Thunder Bay Therapeutic Riding Association
  • Special Olympics - Thunder Bay

This event can only take place with the continued support of the Thunder Bay Trucking Community, through companies and people like you.

Children, youth, and young adults with Special Needs in Thunder Bay received
$34 422.52 last year because of the Parade of Lights. Autism Ontario - Thunder Bay & District Chapter, George Jeffrey Children’s Centre, Special Olympics - Thunder Bay & Thunder Bay Therapeutic Riding Association children, youth, and young adults benefit from both the donations and the increased awareness the Parade of Lights brings to their causes.

In addition to our parade walkers collecting cash donations the night of the parade online donations can be made at:

Parade of Lights Go Fund Me

www.gofundme.com/paradeoflights2019

This will help us reach or exceed our 2019 fundraising goal of $40 000.

We are very excited to be offering a sensory-friendly area for a second year. Drivers have been instructed that all music & horn honking be stopped in this area. See Parade Route map for location.

It is clear that the Parade of Lights has turned into a magical evening, a seasonal favourite among young and old alike. Thousands line the streets for an opportunity to be part of the excitement and they truly appreciate the efforts of each entrant in the Parade of Lights.
