THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  September 26, 2019  (LSN)  Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Criminal Investigations Branch have charged Neil Howard NESHINAPAISE, 43, of Thunder Bay with Second-Degree Murder in connection with the homicide of Amelia Corrie SAINNAWAP.

Officers with the Uniform Patrol Branch were originally dispatched shortly after midnight on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, to a laneway in the 200 block of Simpson Street regarding a female who was on the ground and possibly unconscious.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  September 21, 2019  (LSN)  The Thunder Bay Police Service is requesting public assistance as officers continue to investigate a report involving a suspicious vehicle that approached a young boy around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20.

Police learned the 10-year-old victim was playing hockey in a driveway on Cuthbertson Place when a vehicle drove toward him eastbound from Selkirk Street South. The car was driven by a male with a female passenger in the back.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  September 21, 2019  (LSN)  Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Uniform Patrol Branch were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Frederica Street in the late evening hours of Friday, Sept. 20 following reports of unwanted persons in an apartment unit.

When police arrived they learned that none of the people inside the apartment were tenants and that the actual tenant was not present.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  September 21, 2019  (LSN) On the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 17 an officer with the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Uniform Patrol Branch took a report of an attempted abduction that was said to have taken place in the evening hours of Monday, Sept. 16.

Following the thorough collection and examination of evidence, which included video footage in the areas where the alleged incident was said to have taken place, investigators were able to determine the statement provided to police was false.
