TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING

1100 block of Minto Avenue in the City of Kenora

KENORA, ONTARIO  ~~~~~~~   July 26, 2021  (LSNews)  The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and Organized Crime & Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) have executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of Minto Avenue in the City of Kenora.

On Friday July 23, 2021 at 10:45 a.m. Police executed a search warrant as part of an on-going investigation into the sale of illegal drugs in the North West region. As a result, officers seized drugs with a street value of approximately $86,000 and over $5200 in cash and drug paraphernalia.

Hotel security, as well as Poplar Hill security staff had become aware of a loud and violent disturbance in a third floor hotel room when they called police.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~~  July 23, 2021 (LSNews)  TBay Police Medaia Release  The Thunder Bay Police Service is warning the public as the city appears to be facing an ongoing spike in overdose deaths linked to suspected fentanyl use.

Frontline officers have observed an apparent increase in suspected overdose cases recently, which has also been observed and publicized by other health and community agencies. In the last 24-hours police have been dispatched to five incidents involving suspected overdoses, at least two of which have been fatal.

Officers entered the Thunder Bay Social Housing home of 39 year old JACQUELINE THOMAS at 228 Blucher Avenue after 9pm and found THOMAS with 2 female youths & quantity of fentanyl and cash.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~~~  July 22, 2021 (LSNews)   Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers were called to a Thunder Bay Social Housing building at 76 Cumberland Street South yesterday, Wednesday July 21,2022 after 2 female Housing workers were assaulted by a male.

Officers arrived quickly to investigate and arrested a suspect who also resisted arrest.
