Recycling Center Reopening with Limited Hours

COOK COUNTY, MINNESOTA ~ April 7, 2020  (LSN) Beginning Monday, April 13, the Cook County Recycling Center will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, county officials announced today. 
“After cleaning and sanitizing the facility, we have determined that we can serve the community’s recycling needs while maintaining the safety of the public and county employees,” said Land Services Director Tim Nelson.

SUDBURY, ONTARIO   ~  April 7, 2020   (LSN)  On November 15, 2019, a 17 year old young man was fatally stabbed on Cedar Street in Greater Sudbury.

On November 16, 2019, 18 year old Steffin Rees was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder.

SIOUX LOOKOUT, ONTARIO  ~~ April 7,, 2020  (LSN)  Members of the Sioux Lookout Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges after investigating a string of graffiti tagging incidents in the Municipality.

Winston ASSINIWE, 27 years old, of the First Nations Territory of Anishnawwek, Ontario, has been charged with Mischief Under $5,000, contrary to the Criminal Code.

SAULT STE. MARIE, ONTARIO  ~~  April 6, 2020  (LSN)  The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant as a result of his breach of statutory release.

Paul Quesnel is 29 years of age, 5’10” (178 cm), 150 lbs (68 kg), with brown hair and blue eyes. He has numerous tattoos on both arms, neck and face, including a musical note on his left cheek, and “Saint” and “Come” on his left hand/fingers.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~  April 2, 2020 - 11:15 (LSN) Police Media Release States: The Thunder Bay Police Service is seeking public assistance in locating a homicide suspect who is now unlawfully at large.

Kareem ZEDAN, 22, of Pickering, Ont., was arrested in Thunder Bay on March 24 and is charged for two counts of First-Degree Murder. The charges are from a double-homicide in the City of Brantford.

After a 14 year homicide investigation

SCHREIBER, ONTARIO  ~  April 2, 2020  (LSN)  After a 14 year homicide investigation, a Schreiber resident has been arrested and charged with murder.

The investigation began on November 29, 2006, at 2:34 p.m. when members of the Schreiber Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were called to investigate the suspicious death of Jeanine St. JEAN at her Quebec Street residence in the Town of Schreiber.

SAULT STE. MARIE, ONTARIO  ~  March 31, 2020  (LSN)  On March 28, 2020 officers with Patrol Services and Investigation Services arrested 51-year-old Line Duguay for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

At 12:30 p.m. on March 28, 2020 officers observed a vehicle traveling at walking speed on Farwell Terrace. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers observed the accused to be unresponsive. The officer was able to get her attention after knocking on the driver side window.
