Police Report Serious incident under investigation

Former TBay Councillor Charge with Attempted Murder

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO November 15, 2019 - 14:30 (LSN)  Police Media Release States:  Thunder Bay Police Service officers were dispatched to a residential address in the 400 block of Vickers Street South just before 3:15 p.m. following reports of a disturbance.

When police learned an altercation had taken place within the home they were dispatched to.

During this altercation, a male attacked another individual inside the home. The victim was also threatened during the attack.

The victim was able to flee to a neighbouring home and called 911. The male accused was subsequently arrested.

Lawrence John William HEBERT, 72, of Thunder Bay is charged with Attempted Murder.

The accused appeared in bail court Friday and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date of Dec. 16, 2019.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO November 14, 2019 - 16:45 (LSN)  Police Media Release States:  Thunder Bay Police Service officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding a serious incident that took place in the 400 block of Vickers Street.

Officers were dispatched to a disturbance call just before 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14. Police are now investigating.

There is no ongoing public safety concern as a result of this incident.

No other confirmed details are available at this time. Further updates will be provided to the media.

72-year-old former Thunder Bay City Councillor of 415 Vickers Street south has been charged with Attempted Murder
 

There is a Publication Band issued by the court and Hebert is remained in custody

Officers were called to the 200 block of Cumming Street just after 9 pm on Thursday, June 25 2020 for a stabbing assault.
Officers located a male victim, who appeared to have non-life-threatening injuries sustained during a recent assault involving a knife. Hardworking Paramedics transported the victim to the Thunder Bay Hospital.

The original incident occurred at a residential address in the 500 block of North May Street shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2020. Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Uniform Patrol Branch were dispatched to a disturbance involving an injured male.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~  June 23, 2020 (LSN)  Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers were called to a disturbance in the 1700 block of Arthur Street East just after 2:30pm on Monday, June 22, 2020 TBPS Constables Dennis Vincent & Trevor Lind arrived and Constable Vincent was assaulted by 25 year old SOLOMON GORDON YELLOWHEAD of the Fort Hope 64 Indian Reserve.

While attempting to place YELLOWHEAD under arrest, the accused grabbed onto the pistol grip of Officer Vincent’s service firearm. The hardworking Officer was forced to pull his leg away. Then he attempted to grab Officer Lind’s service firearm.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~  June 23, 2020  (LSN)  Before 3am this morning, Tuesday June 23,2020 hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers were in the area of John and Ontario Streets when they spotted a criminal who was involved in theft from vehicles. 

He attempted to flee from police, but hardworking officers caught up to him and found him to be in possession of stolen property.
