QUEBEC WOMAN ARRESTED FOR DRIVING HIGH IN ARTHUR STREET HIT & RUN

QUEBEC WOMAN ARRESTED FOR DRIVING HIGH IN ARTHUR STREET HIT & RUN

allegedly reeked of marijuana and admitted to smoking pot

THUNDER BAY ONTARIO ```````` June 21, 2021  (LSN)   Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers arrested and charged a Quebec woman last night, Sunday June 20,2021

It’s alleged that a 28 year old TANYA LALONDE was driving a black Hyundai Tucson at 9pm and collided with another vehicle at the corner of Selkirk and Arthur streets. She then fled the scene. Hardworking TBPS Officers located her at 1717 Sills Street where she allegedly reeked of marijuana and admitted to smoking pot that night.

LALONDE was arrested and criminally charged with:

  • -impaired driving
  • -leaving scene of accident

LALONDE spent the night in a jail cell at Balmoral Police Station and appeared by video in Bail Court today, Monday June 21,2021 before Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Jennifer Neil.

Provincial Crown Attorney Piera Pasloski agreed to release LALONDE on a $750 CASH DEPOSIT.

Once the cash is deposited, she will be released from custody with a future court date.

As per usual practice, the Director of Communications at TBPS and his local taxpayer subsidized media buddies have stopped notifying the public about impaired driving cases.

They simply don’t care if people are killed.
