Sturgeon Falls, value of the drugs is approximately $17,200
STURGEON FALLS, ONTARIO ~~ May 13, 2020 (LSN) On May 11, 2020 at 10:55 p.m., members of the North East Region (NER) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with the assistance of officers from the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) investigation on Front Street in the Municipality of West Nipissing (Sturgeon Falls).
Officers seized a quantity of drugs suspected to be Fentanyl and Crystal Methamphetamine along with a quantity of Canadian currency. The street value of the drugs is approximately $17,200.
As a result of the investigation, Chad DELONGCHAMP, age 36, from West Nipissing, was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Other Drugs, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA);
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance - Methamphetamine, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA;
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code (CC)

The accused was released by way of an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 2, 2020, in West Nipissing.
