KENOGAMI STREET DRUNK DRIVING RAMPAGE GETS MAN ARRESTED

KENOGAMI STREET DRUNK DRIVING RAMPAGE GETS MAN ARRESTED

BLOOD ALCOHOL READINGS OF .230 & .207

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~~   May 11, 2022 (LSNews)    SIX CARS & THREE HOUSES DAMAGED. ONE WOMAN SENT TO HOSPITAL WITH INJURIES.

TBPS MEDIA RELATIONS COORDINATOR SCOTT PARADIS STILL HASN’T TOLD THE PUBLIC

Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers responded to a call yesterday, Tuesday May 10,2022 on Kenogami Street shortly after 1:15pm regarding some drunk driving chaos in a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado.

TBPS Officers responded quickly and found that multiple vehicles and a house had been struck during the driving rampage. A woman near Thunder Pet had injuries caused and the driver had fled the scene on foot.

Officers quickly located the suspect near 20 Kenogami Avenue who refused to provide identification and made the arrest. The man stated someone stole his truck. Even though he had the truck key on him.

The driver failed the breathalyzer exam at Balmoral Police Station and registered readings of .230 & .207 blood alcohol.

A 36 year old DEREK WAYNE MYLLARI of Thunder Bay was criminally charged with:

  • -dangerous driving causing bodily harm
  • -impaired driving causing bodily harm
  • -operate motor vehicle with blood alcohol over .08
  • -fail to stop at scene of accident
  • -obstruct police officer

MYLLARI was held overnight at Balmoral Police Station.

Justice of the Peace Nancy Tulloch ordered this morning, Wednesday May 11,2022 that MYLLARI be released on $300 no deposit bail with conditions:

  • -reside at his home at 20 Kenogami Avenue North
  • -report any change of address to police
  • -no contact with victims
  • -not operate a motor vehicle

MYLLARI asked the court if he can still operate a train. His lawyer’s representative will talk with him after court.

Inside Edition sources indicate that MYLLARI works for CN Rail as a conductor

MYLLARI has another court appearance on Friday June 17,2022

Sadly, TBPS Media Relations Coordinator Scott Paradis hasn’t told the public that innocent citizens have been harmed by a drunk & dangerous driver. In fact, Paradis rarely tells the public about impaired drivers & he certainly won’t show their pictures.

TBPS Media Relations Coordinator Scott Paradis & his boss, Director of Communications Chris Adams have repeatedly lied to the public and put public safety at risk.

TBPS Police Chief Sylvie Hauth permits this laziness & incompetence to occur. Her leadership at TBPS is currently under criminal investigation by the OPP. Having two former TBLAZYWATCH employees working in communications at TBPS has been a disaster for years. Their presence at the station is a complete disservice to all the hardworking rank & file Officers.
