DRUG DEALER ON RUN FOR 4 YEARS RELEASED AGAIN ON BAIL

DRUG DEALER ON RUN FOR 4 YEARS RELEASED AGAIN ON BAIL

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~  June 21, 2022 (LSNews)  A 25 year old BRANDYN HUNTER appeared from the Central North Correctional Center by Zoom before Justice of the Peace Tobey Meyer today, Tuesday June 21,2022 for a bail hearing.

It’s alleged that on September 6,2017 that HUNTER was arrested with drugs & cash while on probation. He was criminally charged with:

  • -possession of heroin for purpose of trafficking
  • -possession of cocaine for purpose of trafficking
  • -possession of ecstasy for purpose of trafficking
  • -possession of methamphetamine for purpose of trafficking
  • -possession of proceeds of crime (cash)
  • -breach of probation X 2

HUNTER was released on on $2500 cash deposit on November 25,2017

HUNTER failed to attend court on May 24,2018 and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers were conducting surveillance on drug dealers for days at Room 25 at the Voyageur Motel, located at 177 Powley Street in May 2022.

TBPS Officers executed a search warrant on May 10,2022 at the hotel and seized 272 methamphetamine pills out of the refrigerator in the room. They also seized $6960 in cash on HUNTER.

A quantity of fentanyl and cocaine was seized of the coaccused.  But TBPS Media Relations Coordinator Scott Paradis never told the public about this drug bust.

HUNTER received more drug trafficking & proceeds charges.

HUNTER has a criminal record of weapons & drugs and is from Toronto.

Federal Crown Attorney Alec Hardiejowskie fought hard to keep HUNTER detained, but it fell on deaf ears of the Justice of the Peace.

Justice of the Peace Tobey Meyers ruled the public would not be offended if HUNTER was released again to his surety, Philip Thomas Edwards, a black male instructor who teaches at Seneca College.

It would seem that Justice of the Peace Meyer doesn’t speak to many members of the public.

Justice of the Peace Meyer ordered HUNTER be released on a total $20 000 bail. A $10 000 cash deposit & $10 000 no deposit bail with conditions:

-reside with surety at 1019 Drangonfly Avenue in Pickering, Ontario

  • -not possess drugs
  • -11pm to 6am curfew
  • -no contact with coaccused
  • -do not attend Thunder Bay except for court

HUNTER has another court appearance on July 8,2022
