BRODIE STREET DRUG BUST ALMOST $15 000 SEIZED $18,665 in cash

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO   ~~~~~~  July 27, 2021  (LSNews)   After a lot of surveillance, hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers executed another search warrant last night at a known drug house at Unit 3 at 403 Brodie Street North in Thunder Bay. It’s alleged that under surveillance MAIGAN CHEESEQUAY was the doorperson handling all the drug transactions with the foot traffic

A sizeable quantity of fentanyl, cocaine and $18 655 cash was seized. DANIEL BOGOS KAZARIAN allegedly had 41 grams of crack and 18 grams of fentanyl in his underwear.

Four people were arrested.

A 31 year old MAIGAN CHEESEQUAY was criminally charged with:

-possession of fentanyl for purpose of trafficking

-possession of cocaine for purpose of trafficking

-proceeds of crime exceeding $5000

-breach of probation order from April 3,2020

A 21 year old DANIEL BOGOS KAZARIAN of Richmond Hill was criminally charged with:

-possession of fentanyl for purpose of trafficking

-possession of cocaine for purpose of trafficking

-proceeds of crime exceeding $5000

A 19 year old ALEXANDER AARON ABROMOVICH of Richmond Hill was criminally charged with:

-possession of fentanyl for purpose of trafficking

-possession of cocaine for purpose of trafficking

-proceeds of crime exceeding $5000

A 26 year old SEAN MAIN of Thunder Bay was criminally charged with:

-possession of fentanyl for purpose of trafficking

-possession of cocaine for purpose of trafficking

-proceeds of crime exceeding $5000

-breach of probation order from August 24,2020

All 4 individuals spent the night in custody at Balmoral Police Station and appeared by audio in Thunder Bay Bail Court today, Tuesday July 27,2021 before His Worship, Justice of the Peace Bernard Caron.

Federal Crown Attorney Misbah Haque would not consent to the release of any of them

They were all remanded into custody with future court dates.

The Director of Communications at TBPS has stopped notifying the public about most drug busts in the city and generally reports very little crime to the public. Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers arrested a Richmond Hill man who was violating a court order not to be in Thunder Bay.

At about 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2021 officers were at the Midtown Inn executing a search warrant on a number of hotel rooms when they observed a male known to them who was in violation of a recognizance.

The male fled from police, but was quickly pursued and arrested. The arrest was completed after a brief struggle.

Following the arrest, police found the male to be in possession of a concealed knife.

ALEXANDER AARON ABRAMOVICH of Richmond Hill, is charged with Resisting Peace Officer, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Failure to Comply with Undertaking.

THE 31 YEAR OLD MAIGAN ASHLEY CHEESEQUAY WAS PREVIOUSLY WANTED BY THE RCMP FOR PAROLE VIOLATION WHEN THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS AT TBPS DECLARED SHE WAS MISSING.

TBLAZYWATCH JUST EAT UP THE GARBAGE BEING SHARED BY THE DIRECTOR. THEY DO ZERO FACT CHECKING.

In fact, MAIGAN ASHLEY CHEESEQUAY goes “MISSING” every year. She is a very violent woman.

Maigan Ashley Cheesequay has a lengthy criminal history and has

served a three year sentence for Robbery, Aggravated Assault and Fail to comply. She was released from federal custody on Statutory Release March 22, 2018. A Canada Wide Warrant was issued for her arrest on May 1, 2018 due to her whereabouts being unknown.

THIEVING FENTANYL JUNKIE PLEADS GUILTY

A 25 YEAR OLD SEAN MAIN SENTENCED TO TIME SERVED, 18 MONTHS PROBATION, A $600 RESTITUTION ORDER & 20 HOURS COMMUNITY SERVICE

Appearing in Plea Court by audio this morning, Monday August 24,2020 from the Thunder Bay Jail is 25 year old SEAN MAIN

His Honour, Justice Frank Valente is presiding. Provincial Crown Attorney Matthew Paik and Defence lawyer Kate Brindley are also on the line.

There is a joint submission before the court and SEAN MAIN will pleas guilty to several crimes.

ADMITTED FACTS

On September 17,2019 SEAN MAIN broke a car window on the 200 block of Ravenwood Avenue and stole a backpack. Thunder Bay Police were called and arrested MAIN. He was on a probation order from March 26,2019.

MAIN is guilty of:

-mischief under $5000

-theft under $5000

-breach of probation

The next day, September 18,2019 MAIN attended the Memorial Avenue Walmart and grabbed a box of Sony headphones valued at $45.18. He opened the box, removed the headphones and attempted to exit the store. He was arrested by security and Thunder Bay Police arrived quickly to lay charges.

MAIN is guilty of:

-theft under $5000

-breach of probation

On September 28,2019 MAIN was at the Red River Road McDonalds location and spotted a person putting his mountain bike in the bicycle rack. MAIN approached the cyclist to tell him the restaurant manager wanted to speak to him. The individual headed into the restaurant while MAIN stole his bicycle. MAIN rode the bike to Max Pawn on Red River Road and attempted to sell it for $25. That was captured on video.

MAIN is guilty of:

-theft under $5000

The bicycle was never recovered.

On July 30,2020 MAIN went to the Circle K at 1315 Arthur Street and smoked some fentanyl in the parking lot. He then entered the store, grabbed a $3 Barq’s Root Beer and left without paying. He drank the root beer in parking lot and attempted to enter the store again. However, he was locked out of the business. MAIN became upset and smashed a large window and left. Thunder Bay Police picked him up a block away.

MAIN is guilty of:

-mischief under $5000

-theft under $5000

-breach of probation

BAIL HEARING WITH DUTY COUNSEL DID NOT GO WELL

On August 7,2020 MAIN had a bail hearing before Justice of the Peace Bruce Leaman. Duty Counsel Aranka Golphy represented MAIN.

Golphy was unaware of how the bail ladder worked in a reverse onus situation. She continually argued the bail ladder during the hearing.

Duty Counsel Golphy was reminded by the court and the Crown how the bail ladder works. There is case law that the bail ladder does not apply in a reverse onus situation. As a result of that MAIN was ordered detained and Duty Counsel learned about the law.

JOINT SUBMISSION

SEAN MAIN is a 25 year old drug addict that has a criminal record dating back to 2010. He has over 20 criminal convictions for property offences and breaching court orders.

MAIN was sentenced to 228 days in jail ordered to pay $11 663 in restitution for a break and enter on March 26,2019. Inside Edition Sources indicate that he hasn’t paid any restitution

MAIN wants to take an arts program at the college using an education fund his grandparents set up for him.

MAIN was exposed to alcohol & drugs at a young age and claims his parents have mental health issues.

SEAM MAIN has been in custody a total 29 days which is enhanced to 44 days. MAIN has been in lockdown in a cell at the Thunder Bay Jail. There are 2 other people in the cell and MAIN occupied the floor.

A 25 year old SEAN MAIN is sentenced to 44 days time served. An 18 month probation order is also issued, along with 20 hours Community Service

MAIN is ordered to pay $600 restitution to the owner of the bicycle.
