AMERICAN MAN ON FBI DATABASE ARRESTED BY TBPS OFFICERS

CLAIMS TO BE A SOVEREIGN CITIZEN OF THE UNITED NATIONS

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~~  July 26, 2021  (LSNews)    Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers were called last night, Sunday July 25,2021 regarding an unwanted male behind the Home Depot at the Thunder Centre close to 9pm

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS AT TBPS ONLY TELLS PART OF THE STORY.

Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers were called last night, Sunday July 25,2021 regarding an unwanted male behind the Home Depot at the Thunder Centre close to 9pm

TBPS Officer Mark Cattani arrived with his partner to speak to the male who claimed to have walked into Canada a week ago from Minnesota. Further investigation revealed that there was no record of his entry to Canada according to the Canada Border Services.

The man became combative with Officer Cattani and his partner as they attempted to bring him into the facility. It took the efforts of several officers to gain control of the man. During the evening, the male struck two of the officers and uttered threats. He also spit inside the TBPS cruise

Fingerprinting revealed that he was not on Canadian database, but was in the FBI database. TBPS Officers were able to positively identify him from FBI files

A 23 year old ASHTON COLE POCHATKO of Torrington, Connecticut was arrested and criminally charged with:

  • - Assaulting a Peace Officer X 2
  • -Uttering Threats
  • -Mischief Under $5,000 (spitting in TBPS cruiser)

POCHATKO was held overnight at Balmoral Police Station and appeared by phone in Bail Court this morning, Monday July 26,2021 before His Worship, Justice of the Peace Bruce Leaman.

POCHATKO demanded to know why the United Nations had not been notified of his illegal arrest by TBPS Officers and he claimed he was a sovereign citizen of the United Nations. POCHATKO cited some United Nations “E47” and stated that he falls under that.

The only reference Inside Edition could find to United Nations E47 is European route E47 is a road (part of the United Nations international E-road network) connecting Lübeck in Germany to Helsingborg in Sweden via the Danish capital, Copenhagen

During his court appearance, POCHATKO became very irate and attempted to smash the phone he was speaking into at the Balmoral Police Station.

Officers at the station had to take physical control of him.

Provincial Crown Attorney Piera Pasloski told the court that a mental health fitness exam was most likely required for POCHATKO

POCHATKO was remanded into custody at the Thunder Bay Jail. He has another court appearance this week.

POCHATKO is also under investigation by the Canada Border Services Agency.

Inside Edition did some searching and discovered that POCHATKO has a criminal history in America.

March 10,2018

ASHTON COLE POCHATKO of Torrington, Connecticut was upset about his dog’s condition and threatened to kill an officer, according to court records.

ASHTON COLE POCHATKO of 21 Butler Street was arrested March 10, 2018 and criminally charged with:

  • -second degree breach of peace X 2
  • -second degree threatening
  • -interfering with an officer/resisting arrest
  • -attempt to assault a public safety official

Two Torrington police officers responded to Butler Street on March 9, 2018 for a report of an unwanted male, according to a probable cause report. One officer heard yelling as they arrived.

POCHATKO told police his dog needed to be taken to the veterinarian for treatment because of an injured leg, police said. He was “highly agitated” and arguing with two parties on scene, one of whom reported that he threw and broke their phone.

POCHATKO was arrested and taken to the Torrington Police Department, where he was placed in a cell. He attempted to harm himself with his clothing, so it was removed and he was placed in restraints, police said.

“POCHATKO made numerous comments about ‘not caring’ and threatened officers. POCHATKO told me he was going to find me and kill me,” said the officer in the report. “Pochatko said he wanted me to take off my badge so he could punch me in the face.”

POCHATKO was taken to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, police said.

According a second probable cause report, POCHATKO began cursing at an officer when they declined to cover him with a blanket after he awoke from sleeping.

“Shortly thereafter Pochatko began a second angry tirade hurling insults at me and cursing at a level which, I would suspect, could easily be heard by several of the people in surrounding rooms as well as the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital staff,” said another officer in the second report.

People stepped out into the hallway to determine where the yelling was coming from, the officer said. POCHATKO was charged with a second count of second-degree breach of peace after this incident. He was ultimately held on $26,000 combined bail, police said.

According to court records, he was arraigned in Superior Court in Torrington Monday March 18,2012.

Bail was reduced to a written promise to appear, with the condition that he cooperate with jail diversion. A protective order was issued in the initial case.

According to a uniform arrest report in his court file, POCHATKO suffers from PTSD.

On March 8,2018 POCHATKO was pulled over in Connecticut with a woman who had crack cocaine

An Inside Edition search shows that POCHATKO spent time at the Manson Youth Institution in New Haven, Connecticut. The facility holds young adults as old as 21, as well as 15 to 17-year-olds whose felony criminal cases are sent to the adult criminal justice system. It shows “CONSPIRACY” as the offence.

The Director of Communications at TBPS put out a very low detail media release. His lazy buddies  just copied and pasted it. No picture, no extra details…nothing
