Thunder Bay Ribfest returns August 25-28th.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~  April 28, 2022 (LSNews)  In a media release they announced  A Media Conference will be held on Thursday, April 28th at 11:00 a.m. on the C.L.E grounds (by the Kiwanis building) to announce plans and a new location for this year's Thunder Bay Ribfest August 25-28th. HALF-WAY MOTORS is proud to be the presenting sponsor

They have advised us that it will be at the CLE Grounds again this year 

After using a 'drive thru' model the past two years, organizers are proud to bring back an in-person experience. The event will feature Canada's award winning ribbers Ribs Royal and Dinosaur Smokehouse along with local food vendor Daytona's

This year's event will offer additional food vendors, artisans, a beer garden and live entertainment with net proceeds to Our Kids Count

"We're thrilled that our signature fundraiser is back to it's 'in person' roots in the centre of the city", says Executive Director Jackie Knough

Members of the organizing committee, sponsors, participants and Our Kids Count will be in attendance to discuss the event's return and answer any questions members of the media may have

    COOK COUNTY, MINNESOTA  ~~~~~sEPEMBER 16, 2022 (LSNews)  The North Shore Health Care Foundation (NSHCF) will be awarding its final round of 2022 grant funds this fall. Applications for Foundation funding for projects that work toward a healthy community for all are due Saturday, Oct. 1 by 4 pm.

    The Foundation works to address gaps in health care and community health-related needs in Cook County. A total of $34,000 has been budgeted for in the 2022 NSHCF budget to help fund community organizations and programs that contribute to equitable health care and healthy living in Cook County this year, through the semi-annual community grant program.
