SAULT STE MAIRE, ONTARIO  ~~~~~~ September 3, 2021  (LSNews)  Training Camp 2021 is nearing the finish line after four days of on and off-ice activities thus far in Sault Ste. Marie.

When registration kicked things off on Monday, fifty-three (53) players were present.

And now on the eve of the Luke Williams Memorial Red and White Game tomorrow, forty-players will remain.

General Manager Kyle Raftis and staff reduced the numbers today following the final scrimmage of the week.

Released from camp / re-assigned following Thursday were:

  • GOALIES - Nolan Dunn, Nathaniel Boyes
  • DEFENCEMAN - Anthony Ciaramitaro, Ty Campbell, Kaden Dundas
  • FORWARDS - Liam Filip, Jacob McLellan, Owen Shore, Stephen Campbell, EJ Paddington, Connor Clattenburg, Zack Corte, Kyle Den Ouden

 

The remaining players will take part in Friday’s Luke Williams Memorial Red and White Game.

GOALIES (4) - Colton Donaldson, Samuel Ivanov, Coulter Taylor, Charlie Schenkel

DEFENCEMAN (12) - Luc Brzustowski, Cole Williamson, Robert Calisti, Andrew Gibson, Blair Scott, Austin Fellinger, Jacob Holmes, Caeden Carlisle, Caleb Van De Ven, Nathaniel Davis, Connor Toms, Ryan O’Rourke

The Luke Williams Memorial Red and White game on Friday, September 3 is set for a 7:07 PM puck drop at the GFL Memorial Gardens.

Tickets are still available by visiting the SK Group Box Office (inside the arena) from 10 AM through game time Friday.

The Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds are a major junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League. The Greyhounds play home games at the GFL Memorial Gardens. The present team was founded in 1962 as a team in the Northern Ontario Hockey Association.
