THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO June 1, 2020 - 9:45 (LSN) Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers arrested 36 year old DENIS TERRY BERNARD yesterday for the second degree murder of PAUL WINNIFRED VIVIER at the Midtown Inn on Cumberland Street just after 10 pm on Saturday, May 30, 2020
Inside Edition sources indicate that it was a drug dispute.
BERNARD is originally from the Rocky Bay 1 Indian Reserve and spent the night at the Thunder Bay Police Detachment and appeared in Thunder Bay Bail Court this morning, Monday June 1,2020 by audio before His Worship Bruce Leaman.
Murder is an automatic detention order.
There is no decision to make.
BERNARD is going to the Thunder Bay Jail.
His only hope of bail is with a Superior Court Judge.
His next court appearance is June 9,2020
BERNARD has a lengthy criminal history.
He was arrested in May 2019 as part of Project Disruption and charged with:
