THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO, ~~~ May 28, 2020 (LSN) Yesterday, Wednesday May 27,2020 the Thunder Bay Police received a call about a man who had been defrauded for money.
Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers investigated this crime and an arrest was made.
A 27 year old Somalian born ALI JAMA was arrested and criminally charged with:
-fraud under $5000
-use of forged documents
It’s alleged that JAMA was using a forged Ontario Driver’s License and a forged Social Insurance Number card to commit this fraud.
JAMA spent the night in a jail cell at the Thunder Bay Police Station and appeared by audio before His Worship, Justice of the Peace Bruce Leaman.
Provincial Crown Attorney Katrina Van Kessel is not agreeing to the release of ALI JAMA.
He has an outstanding criminal charge of impaired driving from Newmarket, Ontario and his citizenship status is not clear.
ALI JAMA was transported to the Thunder Bay Jail shortly after noon today.
