POPLAR HLL INDIAN RESERVE, ONTARIO ~~~ June 28, 2020 (LSN) Last night, Saturday, June 27, 2020 hardworking NAPS Officers responded to an assault with a weapon call at a home on the Poplar Hill Indian Reserve.
The NAPS Officers investigated and arrested SHAYNA TURTLE for this alleged violent attack.
TURTLE spent the night in a jail cell at the NAPS detachment.
She appeared by audio in Thunder Bay Bail Court this morning, Sunday, June 28, 2020.
TURTLE has been criminally charged with:
She has several outstanding criminal charges.
Provincial Crown Attorney Stella Vallelunga is not consenting to the release of TURTLE.
She was flown to the Kenora Jail this afternoon and will appear by video in Kenora Bail Court tomorrow.
