ACCUSED MURDERER OUT ON BAIL ARRESTED FOR ARSON

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~  August 12, 2020  (LSN)  OOPS! The Director of Communications at TBPS didn’t tell the public that an accused killer was on the loose for 2 days and wanted by police.. Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers arrested a 15 year old J.T. in relation to a Monday morning arson at a unit in Thunder Bay Social Housing at 707 John Street.

The area is known for drug trafficking.
Thunder Bay Police were dispatched along with Thunder Bay Fire Rescue just after midnight on Monday August 10,2020. Hardworking firefighters pit the second floor fire out.

The Ontario Office of the Fire Marshal determined the fire was arson.
Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers identified 15 year old J.T. as a suspect.
The youth was arrested shortly after midnight today Wednesday August 12, 2020 and spent the rest of night in a jail cell at Balmoral Police Station.
A 15 year old J.T. has been criminally charged with:
-Arson, Disregard for Human Life, -Failure to Comply with Judicial Release x 2.
His breaches are associated with January 9,2020 First Degree Murder of Austin Peter Robinson

J.T appeared by video in Thunder Bay Bail Court this morning before Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Jennifer Neil.

The Provincial Crown Attorney would not consent to the release of J.T. He was transported to a youth facility in Thunder Bay.

CODY ECHUM IN CUSTODY ALONG WITH 14 YEAR OLD YOUTH J.T.

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS AT TBPS IS BUSY RECEIVING ANOTHER SOY ENEMA DUE TO EXCESSIVE TOFU SAUSAGE CONSUMPTION WITH LEITH & DOUG AT TBLAZYWATCH

Two males were arrested earlier this week, a 19 year old CODY ECHUM and a 14 year old youth J.T. who cannot be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The two suspects are believed to have gained entry into the home of an 18 year old Austin Robinson and beat him with a baseball bat and a hammer. Sources indicate that Austin had just got his payout of a land claim settlement and the two suspects had intentions of robbing him for money.

The incident happened shortly before 3:00am in the 200 block of Syndicate Ave North. Residents in the area heard and witnessed a number of people fleeing from the home while screaming. Austin’s mother heard a bang and discovered him laying on the ground unresponsive. She called 911 immediately.
Numerous police cruisers along with paramedics responded to the scene and the 18 year old Austin was transported to the emergency department of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where he was not expected to live.
Earlier today, Austin was taken off life-support around 6:00 pm tonight January 10,2020 and passed shortly after.

ECHUM and the youth J.T. were both charged with:

  • -Aggravated Assault
  • -Break & Enter
  • -Disguise with intent
  • -First Degree Murder
