August 11th:   Christine Elliot  Ontario reports 33 new coronavirus cases, lowest single-day increase since mid-March Ontario is reporting 33 cases of #COVID19, a 0.1% increase. This includes routine data clean-up by Toronto Public Health, which removed 21 cases, such as duplicates, that had previously been included in daily case counts. Yesterday, the province processed over 21,500 tests. With 75 more resolved, we continue to see a persistent decline in the number of active cases in the province. Thunder Bay hits it 100 case with a 60 year old female

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~  July 13, 2020 - 13:45   (LSN)  Police Media Release States:  Police arrested and charged a local man and youth following an investigation into reports of assault and mischief. Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Uniform Patrol Branch were dispatched just after 1:46 a.m. on Sunday, July 12 to the 400 block of Frederica Street West following reports of an assault that had just occurred.

Officers arrived to the Robin’s Donuts and located a female victim. Police learned the victim had been assaulted by three individuals who fled the scene prior to officers arriving.

While police were still with the victim, whose injuries were being treated by paramedics with the Superior North EMS, officers received reports of a broken window in the 200 block of Frederica Street West.

The suspects of that reported mischief matched the description of the suspects involved in the assault.

Police searched the area and eventually located and arrested two of the accused.

A 16-year-old Thunder Bay male is charged with Assault, and Mischief Under $5,000.

Thomas Allen BROWN, 20, of Thunder Bay is charged with Assault, Mischief Under $5,000 and Breach of Probation. He appeared in bail court on Sunday, July 12 and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.

The youth cannot be identified in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
