Salvation Army Kettle Campaign Pop’s Kettle Corn & Canadian Tire
THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO - December 18, 2019 (LSN) Today, Pop’s Kettle Corn and Canadian Tire presented their contribution to The Salvation Army Kettle campaign from their “From My Kettle to Your Kettle” promotion through this past year.
This year, a combined total of $5,273 is being added to the kettle campaign in Thunder Bay with cheque presentations from James Iannetti, Canadian Tire – Thunder Centre, Logan Hebert, Canadian Tire – Arthur St., and Kevin Laidler & Suzie Byerley, Pop’s Kettle Corn.
Pop’s Kettle Corn in partnership with participating Canadian Tire stores are donating $1.00 per bag of Pop’s Kettle Corn sold in the stores with each giving .50 per bag. This is the fourth year for this very successful initiative.
“We are happy to participate in this partnership and help The Salvation Army with their work in our community,” said Kevin Laidler, Pop’s Kettle Corn.
The breakdown of donations from Canadian Tire Stores this year is:
Thunder Bay Arthur St. 765.50
Thunder Bay Thunder Centre 1,871.00
Canadian Tire Total $2,636.50
Pop’s Kettle Corn’s total matching donation is $2,636.50.
The kettles have raised $141,360 to date and this gift will assist in reaching our goal of $220,000. Funds from the Kettle Campaign support the social services programs that work to restore hope and dignity for vulnerable individuals in Thunder Bay during the Christmas season and throughout the year.
